Full Text	Near Vicksburg Mis Wednesday July 1st/ 63 Dear wife Yours of the 18th came to hand on monday but as I had written a letter to you the day before I thought i would wait a day or two before answering it I am sorry to hear that father's health is so poor this summer and Ed too being afflicted but I hope they will soon get better. You asked me when I thought this place would be taken which is a thing I have not the least idea of it may be two days or two weeks and it may be as many months it all depends on the amount of feed the rebels have I do not think from the action of things
