My dear father and mother and sister i take my pen in hand to let you no that i am giting better fast i hope i get well soon the wather is [warre] bad it rans most avre day and it fee[ll's] in the nite and it is coale and [ive] and your[self] we are need [i think 'it' is crossd out here] to warm wather and it comes hard on us but i ges it will be warm a [not] after [whale?] but i hope no [illegible, maybe 'this'?] [mrase] will and give that lime we can git no good water to drink water is worse [f]ore in the south i like to have god drink out [illegible] [word crossed out] our branch
