Sept 22d. 1837
60 Great Queen St.
Lincoln’s Inn fields
Dear Sir Leigh Hunt -
If you know how much I have always admired & esteemed your talents & character, you would understand how truly I appreciate your kind letter to me which I will not lose a minutes’ time in thanking you for - really I was less surprised than gratified by its consoling tone & your readiness to serve me, for when I ventured to address you, I somehow felt I was writing to a friend.
On Tuesday next between twelve & one it will give me much pleasure (with some pain) to see you - when I will again assure you how truly I value your Letter and your friendship.
