[Letter head] The Bank of Adelaide.
Adelaide 2nd Dec. 1876
My dear Walter Hunt,
I was simply shocked to find by my brother's letter that so many years have passed since I wrote you. I must have purposed many times and so laid my conscience to sleep. If only you could be placed in support with me you would find the same warm feeling undiminished for all of you friends of my youth. I trust it is also so with you for me. I do not find any change in my feelings even towards friends in Aberdeen known before I got to London.
I was very angry with myself when Robinson told me that I had never acknowledged
