Hammersmith- Jany. 11th.
My dear Carlyle,
I should sooner have thanked you for your answer to my letter, had I not been waiting for that of Mr. Moran to my communication respecting the visit. He has been so ill, I am sorry to say, as to be confined to his bed, and unable to write; but I heard from him on Saturday. He rejoices in your willingness to see him, and adds: -
“As my time, as well as his own, is much occupied now, I shall wait until May for the interview, when I trust his health will be unimpaired
