[Highgate] Friday Morng. [?1827][1]
Dear Sir,
I will bring Mr. Allen's books with me the next time I come to Burl[ing]ton St., which will be shortly. The enclosed is for Mr. Reading.
"Mrs. H. [Hunt] & I had a delightful walk home through the Park. But your debauched wine, & very dissipated cold lamb, make me a little too sensible this morning how much I must have eaten & drank.— It was a very pleasant evening indeed,—redolent of old times; & I hope we shall have many such."
Very truly your's,
Leigh Hunt.
