Many thanks for what you have done abt the memoir & portrait. I am sorry that Mr Dalby shd have had so much trouble to no purpose. The Victoria Grove to which he went is called “West Brompton”; this is “Kensington”-formerly “South Kensington,” but the Post Office authorities, or the Metropolitan Board of Works, have recently degraded us, & allowed the more aristocratical designation to
