Septr. 9th 1845.
My dear Hunt. I have the pleasure to send you a draft for your [?Bemi]. Six guineas. -
You are quite right. [?Munson] must have read [?Bemi]. The spirit of some of the stanzas is transfused into the “Caste of [?Ridolence].” What a line you have got -
But above all no writing was known there condition keenly appreciated it will be by all jaded authors, whose wounds are green.

I am off to France at the [page break] end of the week. But this place is charming, exceedingly gay, and just and the sea is as smooth, as [ ? ] and in sky-tinted as the Adriatic or the Mediterranean . Ever, cordially your’s , W. Harrison Ainsworth I saw Horace Smith the other day, who showed me exquisite alabaster verses given to him by Shelley. |
