My dear Hunt I expect you tonight at 1/2 past 5. But I write this note to ask you whether you would be afraid to accompany me to the opera at Covent Garden afterwards - at 8 oclock I have two stalls, & [page break] I think it would really be a rare pleasure to you to hear the music of the Huguenots - as it is given at Covent Garden - as much or as little of it as you please. At the same time I fancy it possible that [page break] this may not be possible - & therefore I send to ask the question: because if you would rather not go, I will give away the stalls If you go - just remember to come in [page break] a short coat. I have asked Bell to meet us at 6 Alys affectionately John Forster June 19th 1849 58 L.I.F . |
