Ewell - July 9th.
My dear Marianne,
The final parcel, con-taining Vincent's remaining requisitions, and your letter of business, arrived last night while we were at supper. Thanks for both. I say no more at present, except that Vincent continues better to-day, and thinks he shall be still better when he returns; therefore does not desire to stop. Neither, on these, as well as other accounts, do I. I shall write again tomorrow, our last day, by the morning's post.
Ever your affectionate husband,
L. H.
[continued at top of page]
P.S. I hope to see this American judge, Kelly, before he goes, on our own account as well as his. He may enlighten us on the subject of the "landed property."
