Sunday evening
My dearest love
I have very little to tell you tonight having written so lately, we had a nice walk after dinner by the water, as for Thornton I am puzzled to get him away whenever I take him there. I had determined not to give him any medicine, consequently I have not used Dr. Gooches prescription, but as he does not seem to get better in respect to that dreadful weakness, I shall try the powders tomorrow unless I find any change. I am very well, and John as strong as ever, Thornton always says, God bless my dear papa and make him well, when he goes to bed. He is a dear little creature, he calls the batheing women, Women of the Sea. Is it not an excellent title for them? God bless you, my love, for tonight I have got my books to settle, so I must leave off now.
