65 Cornhill
14th Jany 1850
Leigh Hunt Esqre
32 Edwardes Square
My Dear Sir
I am happy to convey to you Mr Smiths cordial acquiescence in your proposal to complete your Autobiography by incorporating with it such portions of “Lord Byron & his contemporaries” as you may deem suitable for the purpose. Of course Mr Colburn’s consent, in writing, will be necessary, he being the possessor of the remaining term of copyright; but, that being only about seven years, I think it probable that you will not meet with a refusal from so literal a publisher-
Believe me, my dear Sir, with respect,
Yours very sincerely
W S Williams
