The length of your letter from York was so far from rendering it the less welcome, that what with other correspondents, with visitors, and with debilitating effects of the weather (which together with bronchitis has begun to make my hand-writing unsteady) I have been putting off my answer from day to day, in the hope of writing as long a one to shew my gratitude.
