| Description | "First passenger engine on Utah Central Railway built by the McQueen Locomotive Works, Schenectady, New York. Weight 25 tons ; cylinders 15 x 24 ; cost $15,000 in 1867. The men in the picture are: Robert Bolt, engineer in gangway ; Thomas Davis, fireman on pilot ; John Woolley, yardmaster, front of first driver ; John Fife, next. Picture was taken at the 'new' steel bridge crossing the Weber River. Ogden City being visible in the background." |
