| Description | Engraved throughout. "Dedies a Sa Majeste Le Roi de Prusse." "Beauble scrip[sit]." Previously published by Imbault in 1787 using same plates with pl. no.: 91 no. re-engraved (c.f. Benton). Title within ornamental border. Stamped "Imbault" on engraved t.p. of part 1: 71. Bound as no. 7 in a collection bound as partbooks. T.p. supplied in ms. for 2nd violin, viola, and violoncello parts; title varies in fullness from engraved t.p. Parts include v. no. supplied in ink on t.p.; parts in each v. also numbered p. 117-180 (1st violin), p. 98-145 (2nd violin), p. 88-133 (viola), and p. 80-127 (violoncello) reflecting pagination within each partbook. Individual quartets also numbered 25-27, 28-30, 31-33, and 34-36 reflecting position in collection. Parts have "RB" stamped in red ink on t.p. and elsewhere in each part. |
