| Description | Nouv. ed. Engraved throughout. "Sampier sculp[si]t." "Dedies a sa majeste Le Roi de Prusse." Illustration on t.p. of winged female figure surrounded by clouds, with straight trumpet in each hand, and, hanging from a cord around her body, a shield with coat of arms portraying an animal (griffin) wearing a crown and holding a sceptre and orb. Stamped "Ignace Pleyel" in ink on engraved t.p. v. 1, 2, 4, part 1. Pl. no.: 619--622. This part bound as no. 8 in a collection. Parts are numbered 5-8, representing position in collection, and are also numbered p. 123-188 reflecting the pagination of the collection. Vol. no. added in ink on each t.p. of each part of both copies. |
