| Description | Running title: Pleyels quartetto's [sic] op. 2. Engraved throughout. Title information in spiral oval border. Paging and numbering of quartets continues from Muzio Clementi's publication of op. 1 (i.e. B. 301-306; cf. Benton 3010). Imprint revised in ink on all parts; original t.p. probably same as that for the composer's Six quartetts..., opera I (London : Longman, Clementi & Co., ca. 1800), c.f. Benton 3020. Opus number changed from "I" to "II" in ink on t.p. of 1st violin part; unchanged on other parts. Part designations written in ink on t.p. of each part; "Quartett desk" visible as mirror image on last page of each part, probably absorbed from an external source. Each part bound individually using adhesive binding, with reinforced spine. |
