Jean and Ord Bohannan
THE BOHANNANS are artists of International reputation. Their programs are both original and different. Jean Bohannan, Pianist and Soprano, has won enviable distinction as a composer. She was the winner of the Grand Prize in the anthem contest conducted by The Etude Magazine in competition with almost two thousand other entries. Her piano work is marked by unusual command over tonal contrast and coloring. Her technique, interpretation and musical intelligence place her in the front rank. Her compositions, among them If I Were a Rose; To You; The Plaidie, are being sold in large volume all over the world.
Ord Bohannan, Tenor and Master Impersonator, a pupil of Jean De Reszke, Shiriglia, Lampert, is the possessor of a highly cultivated natural voice which he uses to amazing effect in melodies worth while and of popular favor. He has appeared with the world famous Stadt Theatre Company, of Kiel, Germany, and as tenor of The Dresden Mixed Quartette, in their tours of Central Europe. Mr. Bohannan's peculiar adaptability for lyceum and chautauqua is, perhaps, best stated by this comment: Equipped with a beautiful voice, a fund of spontaneous humor, a perfect knowledge of dialects, and a deep and sympathetic understanding of human pathos, Mr. Bohannan is indeed a Prince of Entertainers.
The program will include Duets, Solos, Readings, Impersonations, Pianologs, Character Sketches in Costume, Short Plays, etc.
