THE TRUTH ABOUT SOUTH AMERICA
Figure
Honorable GEORGE L. KREECK
Distinguished American Diplomat
Stimulating Speaker Keen Observer
N. B.—No One is Better Equipped to Discuss South American Questions and Affairs.
Honorable George L. Kreeck
IN the Honorable George L. Kreeck, late Envoy Extraordinary and Minister Plenipotentiary of the U. S. to Paraguay, the Redpath Bureau has finally secured a man high in diplomatic circles who can speak authoritatively, interestingly and well about our neighbor, South America.
Minister Kreeck has been in constant touch with the South American Republics for many years and has studied closely the political, social, industrial, economic and religious aspects of the nations. He has not only traveled in the southern countries but has lived in them and with their people, and is fortified with facts obtained by his years of personal field observations.
Minister Kreeck is a student of governmental principles and his keen observations make his addresses upon South American topics intensely interesting and illuminating. He inspires his audiences and holds their absorbed attention by the sincerity and frankness with which he speaks. With the genius of an orator he carries his listeners into the countries discussed, so vivid and clear are his descriptions of places, customs, peoples, etc. His addresses are not an array of dry statistics or theories but alert discussions drawn from a fund of knowledge, personally acquired after years of contact with all currents of South American life and activity.

High Praise from Pan American Union
Washington, D. C., Feb. 25, 1931.
It was a great pleasure to listen to your lecture at the School of Foreign Service, Georgetown University. You made the subject of South America alive, and intensely interesting, and I noted that every student gave the closest attention to what you had to say. Your discussion of the many underlying factors that influence inter-American business and friendship was most timely; and the fact that you presented your field observations rather than a vast array of dry cut theories was highly illuminating. I am glad, furthermore, that you see a bright tomorrow for all of those southern nations that possess so many of the raw materials that great industrial nations must obtain in order to advance and prosper.
Sincerely yours,
William A. Reid, Foreign Trade Adviser of the Pan American Union.
