What Chautauqua and Other Managers Say
Streator Chautauqua, Streator, Ill.
We had Professor Pamahasika on Children's Day at the Streator Chautauqua and his entertainment attracted a large and delightful audience. His trained Birds and Dogs make a most acceptable offering for Childrens' Day at Chautauqua.
Monona Lake Assembly, Madison, Wis.
(Signed) J. E. WILLIAMS, Chairman Program Committee.
As a drawing card and feature for an Assembly consider Pamahasika's entertainment as one of the best.
(Signed) JAMES E. MOSELEY, Secretary, Monona Lake Assembly.
Booneville, Mo., Chautauqua
Professor Pamahasika and his pets are entertaining to the highest degree. And one who could not appreciate an attraction of this kind is very much out of the ordinary. To say that Pamahasika's pets are good is only stating it mildly.
B. E. JACOBS, Manager.
The Hiawatha, Kansas, Chautauqua
Pamahasika's pets drew more money at the gate and gave more pleasure to the crowd than did Governor Johnson and other big guns who spoke for us. Whatever pleases the children is certain to please their friends, so I grade Pamahasika's pets our best attraction.
Sincerely,
EWING HERBERT, Pres. Troy, N. Y.
Prof. Pamahasika, Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Sir:—
Our people were delighted with your fine entertainment the other evening. None of us had ever seen such an array of birds, and the tricks performed by them, as well as those performed by the dogs, astonished the entire audience. We were very much pleased with the entire entertainment.
Sincerely yours,
HERBERT P. LANSDALE. Waterloo, Iowa.
Pamahasika's Trained Birds and Dogs was one of the nicest entertainments upon our program this year. Old and young alike were delighted with the performance, which is educational, as well as highly entertaining.
CHARLES H. SECCOMBE, Supt. Washington Grove, Md.
Prof. Pamahasika, Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Sir:—
In response to yours of September 26, it gives me real pleasure to bear testimony to the excellence and interest of your unique entertainments which you gave us at Washington Grove for two evenings this summer. They were thoroughly enjoyed by all from beginning to end, and the jump of Major from the top of the thirty-foot ladder where he had climbed was most thrilling.
Yours sincerely.
W. H. H. SMITH.
Chairman Grove Chautauqua Committee.
Dear Professor:—
I take this opportunity to say that our people were highly pleased with your entertainment, and I have heard many expressions of delight at the performance of your pets. It is one of the best entertainments of its kind that I have ever seen.
Yours sincerely,
R. M. HONEYMAN, General Secretary.
Meadville, Mo.
There was no greater drawing card and no more satisfactory entertainment on our Chautauqua program this season than Prof. Pamahasika and his pets. Every space in the tent was filled and hundreds standing around the tent. Young and old alike were enthusiastic in their applause and praise.
BOOTH LOWREY, Platform Director. L. S. SHARP, Sec'y. Corning, N. Y.
Prof. Pamahasika, Philadelphia.
My Dear Sir:—
The evening which you spent with us proved to be the most enjoyable of the season. The opinions of young and old were one—that your animals were wonderfully trained and that the entertainment was most instructive and enjoyable. Many have expressed the wish that you come again. I hope that the secretaries of Young Men's Christian Associations will learn of the worth of your entertainment and provide an opportunity for men and boys to see you and your Educated Animals.
With best wishes for a Happy New Year, I am,
Cordially yours,
E. W. VOSE, Gen. Secretary.
Newfane, N. Y.
To the Entertainment-Loving Public.
Prof. Pamahasika was with us on December 8, 1909, in our Star Entertainment Course, and gave one of his peerless performances, and the unanimous opinion of the audience was that it was the best of its kind ever given in the town, and many pronounced it the best they were ever privileged to witness and enjoy. One cannot feel inclined to credit the wonderful feats of these animals and birds, but you sit in silence and are convinced when you go to see Pamahasika. He is in love with his work and with the creatures he surrounds himself with, and his entertainment should be given before every school and college in the land.
(Rev.) C. W. SCHANBACHER.

Prof. Pamahasika, Philadelphia, Pa.
Dear Professor:—
I wish to express the entire satisfaction of the performance given by your trained pets a short time ago. We have seldom had a more gratifying and pleasing exhibition. Your methods of training are such that win the confidence of the audience and prove that they are sane methods and your pets are won from kindness instead of cruelty. We shall look forward with delight to another opportunity of seeing your excellent work and your pets again.
Sincerely yours,
S. S. ALPIN, Boys' Work Director.
Sharpsville, Pa.
Dear Professor:—I desire to voluntarily say a word about your entertainment, which I have listened to four different times. I am simply amazed at the entire performance. It was one of the finest attractions I ever have had the pleasure of witnessing and our people are enthusiastic beyond my highest expectations. The manner in which you have your birds and dogs trained is wonderful. It seems almost impossible for animals to perform such a variety of tricks and to do them in such an intelligent manner. Every person, young and old, in every town and city ought to see your attraction. It is entertaining, highly educational, clean and a sure winner wherever you present it. I wish you unbounded success.
Very truly yours,
ROSCOE LUPIE FOULKE, Ph. D. First M. E. Church.
Feats of Trained Dogs and Birds were Wonderful
The crowd at the Chautauqua last night was the largest of the Assembly thus far. Even the crowd of the opening day, when Sam Jones spoke, was surpassed. The auditorium was entirely filled and the crowd overflowed onto the adjacent hillside. Numbers stood on either side of the stage. The only larger crowd ever at the Chautauqua was that which assembled to hear William Jennings Bryan.
The attraction was Pamahasika's birds and dogs, and it was universally conceded that this was the best trained collection of animals and birds ever seen in Owensboro. Gentry with his dogs and ponies has visited Owensboro more than once, and Gentry has a reputation in the trained-animal line, but the general opinion was that Pamahasika has been more successful than even Gentry in securing mastery of his dumb charges.
One of the poodles played the clown to perfection, overturning chairs and tables and other paraphernalia arranged by the trainer when the other dogs had done their stunt.
Pamahasika fed his dogs on the stage. When one of them would do a trick in good form he was rewarded with his favorite food.
Bethany Assembly, Wabash, Ind.
It gives me great pleasure to say that it was my privilege to attend the unique and pleasing entertainment given by Prof. Pamahasika with his trained dogs and birds. The entertainment was clean and very entertaining to the large and greatly delighted audience that was present. I am sure that his entertainment will give great satisfaction.
(Signed) L. L. CARPENTER, President.
Hiawatha Lake Assembly, Mount Vernon, Ohio.
Pamahasika with his trained birds and dogs has just completed an engagement with us at Hiawatha Lake Assembly. They have proved a great success, drawing the largest crowd of the season. Assembly managers should secure them by all means.
(Signed) C. J. ROSE, Superintendent.
Fountain Park Assembly
Pamahasika's birds and dogs were at Fountain Park Assembly for two entertainments this season, and as Superintendent of this Assembly I want to say we have never had anything more interesting to old and young than these two exhibits were. Our people consider it a treat, and I bespeak for Prof. Pamahasika the opportunity to show his wonderful company of trained pets.
(Signed) ROBERT PARKER, Superintendent.
Epworth Park Chautauqua Assembly, Bethesda, O.
I very cheerfully commend your entertainment as one of the very best. We have never had a more delighted audience than the one that filled our auditorium to its utmost capacity this afternoon. Both old and young were highly entertained.
(Signed) J. M. RICHARDS, Secretary.
Clarinda Chautauqua, Iowa
It affords me great pleasure to say that your entertainment at our Chautauqua gave splendid satisfaction. Our patrons were pleased and the birds and dogs made many friends. Our people were pleased with your kindness to the pets, and the boys and girls will treat the animals with more kindness because you were here.
Truly yours,
(Signed) WM. ORR.
Appanoose Chautauqua Association, Centreville, Ia.
Pamahasika with his wonderful pet performance appeared on our platform for two performances and gave a delightful exposition of what patience and persistence will do in securing obedience from the inferior parts of creation. He pleased our people and drew us fine crowds. His entertainment is certainly a very high-class novelty.
(Signed) P. B. WILKES, President.
The Garden City Chautauqua Assembly, Pella, Iowa.
It is with pleasure that I inform you that your engagement at our Pella Chautauqua was satisfactory in every respect. We find your receipts at the gate, in single admissions, at 15c and 25c, was $673.00, to say nothing of the hundreds of season tickets. In addition to this every one that saw your program was pleased. Your program fills a long-felt want in the Chautauqua world. I have never known your entertainment to fail. Wishing you success, I am,
Respectfully,
R. B. LEWIS.
Rockwell City Chautauqua Association, Inc.
You certainly have a most excellent program and our people were more than pleased with it. I regard it as one of the best we had, and we had an unusually fine line of talent.
GEO. W. SPENCER, Asst. Secretary.
Washington Grove Chautau., Washington Grove, Md.

Rock River Assembly, Dixon, Ill.
Prof. Pamahasika gave two exhibitions—afternoon and evening, at Rock River Chautauqua Assembly (Dixon, Ill.), of his wonderful trained Birds and Dogs, to over 8,000 people. The exhibitions and entertainments were novel and entertaining in the highest degree, and enjoyed by the largest concourse of people. It is an attraction that attracts the boys and girls, as well as the older people, and all marvel to see and learn what these dumb animals have been taught to do and perform.
(Signed) ADAM A. KNAPE, Manager.
Clyffeside Chautauqua, Ashland, Kentucky
Pamahasika and his trained pets, the Birds and Dogs, were one of the strong features of the best program the Clyffeside Chautauqua ever had. We had them for the opening night and made no mistake in so placing them. People continue to speak of that night's splendid entertainment. The Professor makes good.
(Signed) J. I. CRABBE, Manager.
Storm Lake Chautauqua Assn., Storm Lake, Iowa
It is with considerable pleasure that I join with many who are commending your work on the Chautauqua platform. I can safely say that the entertainment given by you at the Storm Lake Chautauqua was one of the most attractive and satisfactory, both from the standpoint of the appreciation and number of the audience.
Sincerely yours,
(Signed) M M. MOULTON, Secretary.
Weldon Springs Chautauqua, Clinton, Ill.
One of the most pleasing entertainments on the program of the Weldon Springs Chautauqua of this season was that given by Professor Pamahasika and his pets. He gave two entertainments on successive days and they were the delight of every one present. At each of these entertainments he had an audience of fully (5,000) five thousand persons. The people are still talking of the wonderful performance which these little trained animals gave.
Very respectfully.
(Signed) E. B. BENTLEY, Superintendent.
Simpson Park Chautauqua, Big Stone City, S. D.
I am pleased to say that your appearance on our program last year was considered a strong drawing card. Your work was clean and elevating and of an educational quality. Any Chautauqua manager will do well to use you on his program.
Yours truly,
(Signed) R. J. HICKS, Secretary.

Prof. Pamahasika and His Trained Pets
Offer the most interesting and artistic performance conceivable.
Presented in a truly royal manner, intelligent, classified correctly, exhibited and magnificiently introduced to its patrons everywhere. Years of painstaking training put into the perfection of this wonderful performance, which cannot be duplicated on the continent.
An All=New Star Production valued at $20,000
You'll never weary watching them enjoy life.
A Word of Description.
These dumb animals obey like children, and seem actually endowed with reason.
This is one of the most pleasing and unique entertainments before the public to-day. All the best Chautauquas secure them. It is a novelty. No one should fail to see and hear them. It is not a high-class lecture, nor is it a delightful concert, but it is the best of its kind and is all right.
We believe in trained minds and bring such to our platform. If birds and dogs can be trained to marvelous things, why should we not delight in looking at them.
