RITCHIE'S UNIQUE ENTERTAINERS IN AN EVENING OF MUSIC, MIRTH AND MAGIC

RITCHIE
RITCHIE
It is with unqualified pride and pleasure that we present MR. RITCHIE to the patrons of the Central Lyceum Bureau. Although the youngest by several years among the small group of magicians occupying public attention in America, we claim for him a place which no other artist can dispute. In sleight-of-hand, he has absolutely no equal upon the platform. His work is so clever and his manner so devoid of ostentation, that even his rivals, to use the expression of one of them, take off their hats. RITCHIE has been in constant favor in Chicago and vicinity for five years, his popularity growing as the seasons have passed. Other Bureaus have made him tempting overtures to travel, without avail, and the Central deems itself fortunate in being the first to introduce so gifted and versatile an artist to Lyceum audiences. RITCHIE also makes a specialty of the work known as Shadowgraphy, and devotes a half-hour to this fascinating art. Any one who remembers the Rabbit-on-the-wall of childhood will welcome such a diversion, and while ostensibly it is introduced to please the young people, in reality it charms their elders in equal measure. RITCHIE has a complete equipment of the most modern and expensive accessories for the production of magic, not excelled by any artist in his line. A competent pianist will assist MR. and MRS. RITCHIE, and we feel confident of an immediate and definite success for the entire entertainment.

Taken From The Press
RITCHIE, the magician, delighted a large audience at Ribelin's Opera House Friday evening. His feats of legerdemain are marvelous, and he wins the good-will of the audience from the start with his pleasant humor and gentlemanly demeanor.—
Moweaqua (Ill.) Call-Mail.
The first of the series of Star Entertainments to be given at Wineman's Hall, this season, was produced last Wednesday eve with RITCHIE, the clever young magician, as the particular star. His feats of magic were startling in many instances, and his audience seemed very well satisfied with his efforts.—
Auburn (Ill.) Citizen.
RITCHIE'S UNIQUE ENTERTAINERS were the second number of the lecture course and were at the Hall last Thursday evening. They were greeted by the largest audience that has ever assembled here at an entertainment of the lecture course. Every one was pleased with the entertainment furnished.
RITCHIE is a clever magician, and one who can thoroughly mystify his audience. He seemed to have an eye for ministers and deacons when he wanted to find cards and billiard balls in men's pockets.—
Bethany (Ill.) Echo.

MRS. RITCHIE
MRS. RITCHIE
RITCHIE is fortunate in having a charming wife, who not only aids in his feats of magic, but who is musical as well, and contributes a group of simple, old-fashioned songs to the program, accompanying herself on the guitar, a most delightful feature in a varied and interesting evening. In the feat known as Levitation, MRS. RITCHIE proves herself as graceful and clever an assistant as ever appeared upon the platform in a similar capacity, and the success which has attended this mystifying illusion is due in a great degree to her charming personality.
MRS. RITCHIE has an exceptionally sweet contralto voice, and was heartily applauded.—
Intioch (Ill.) News.
MRS. RITCHIE gave some excellent vocal selections which were liberally applauded. Her rendition of Ben Bolt, sung in answer to a recall, was exceptionally fine.—
Auburn (Ill.) Citizen.
LEVITATION
The most delusive and daring diversion ever devised to delight and disturb the comprehension of man. This, the latest of RITCHIE'S illusions, is pronounced by scientists and all who have witnessed it, to be the most incomprehensible, the most astounding and marvelous effect ever conceived in the wide scope of necromancy. The celebrated Hindoo fakirs outdone; all laws of nature set aside; gravitation defied.

MISS WILLIAMS
MISS WILLIAMS
As a pianist MISS WILLIAMS is certainly an exceptionally fine performer, having graduated from the Chicago College of Music, receiving a diploma for efficiency in her studies of instrumental harmony and Italian. For two years after her graduation from the Chicago College of Music, she was under the instruction of Prof. De Lewinski, one of Chicago's most celebrated pianists. MISS WILLIAMS is quite versatile in the musical line, being an expert performer on the mandolin, and accompanied by MRS. RITCHIE on the guitar, the two perform several duets; her whistling is clear and musical and adds a pleasing variety to the evening program.
MISS WILLIAMS is undoubtedly an accomplished pianist.—
Auburn (Ill.) Citizen.
MISS WILLIAMS pleased not only by her fine performance upon the piano but also in her solo singing.—
Broadhead (Wis.) Independent.
