Real Folks Sketches and Scenes from Life
THE GIRL WITH THE PERSONALITY PLUS
KATHRYN KELCHNER
KATHRYN KELCHNER, character artist and entertainer, presents varied and delightful programs of costumed sketches, impersonations, character songs and scenes from real life. Her original numbers are so distinctive and different that critics have often called her a second Ruth Draper. The programs presented are all of high order, her characters are chosen from people encountered in real life, and her own personality coupled with her ability of character portrayal and years of experience on the platform have won for her the title of one of America's foremost impersonators.
most thoroughly enjoyed program staged
The Washington Music Bureau, Washington, D. C.
DEAR MRS. MCKEE:—It would be amiss if I should let the opportunity go by and fail to inform you of the wonderful concert conducted by Kathryn Kelchner and her Company for Lafayette Chapter No. 5, R. A. M. of this city.
It was one of the cleanest and most thoroughly enjoyed programs ever staged by this Chapter, and only words of the highest commendation and praise are due the young artists.
J. FRED HUBER, Excellent High Priest
finely drawn portrayal
Kathryn Kelchner, reader and impersonator, gave a very finely drawn resumé of a current play, East is West, portraying the little Chinese girl and both Chinese and American male roles with equal facility, and giving the charm and pathos of the play. She also gave several character sketches that were very clever.—
Washington, D. C. Times.
one of America's foremost impersonators
I had the very great pleasure of hearing Miss Kelchner in Philadelphia, in a program of readings and character sketches which she presented in the manner and form of a true artist. For an hour and a half she held the attention of the entire baseball team with her clever monologues and short stories, never lacking in pep and snap, the essential attributes which make for success on the platform. With these qualities one can easily understand why she is classed as one of the platform favorites and one of America's foremost impersonators.—BRANCH RICKEY, Vice-President of the St. Louis Cardinals and Lecturer for Redpath.
held her audience spellbound
I can truly say that I never in my life enjoyed a reading as I did Jerome K. Jerome's Fennel. It was truly wonderful the way Miss Kelchner depicted the various characters, holding her entire audience spellbound, and making us all forget ourselves.
MATTIE E. PERRY, Winter Haven, Fla.

program proclaimed a success everywhere
I want to take this means of thanking you for the fine way you contributed to the success of the Circuit. Committees everywhere proclaimed the program a success and you were no small part of the program. I shall remember you in the 1929 program with a great deal of pleasure.—A statement by E. W. CARSON, General Manager of the Associated Chautauquas of America, at the close of the 1929 season.
