WILLIAM RAINEY BENNETT
Figure
A Humorist Who Makes You Think
A REDPATH FEATURE ATTRACTION
WILLIAM RAINEY BENNETT
By The Redpath Bureau
William Rainey Bennett is a humorist who makes you think. He is a student and thinker who does more than keep abreast of the times. With almost clairvoyant power he sees into the future. He has justified himself as one of the great popular speakers of the day. In many places he has become an institution. Most of his engagements are return dates. There is no finer compliment.
Business organizations, teachers' groups, men's clubs, women's clubs, young people find in him a real tonic, an inspirational and mental stimulant. Mr. Bennett makes his audience laugh with him. Sometimes his humor comes quietly on tiptoe. But for the most part he hurls his humor at his audience with all the force of his great dynamic personality, just as he does his ideas. He hits hard. He makes you think. It is accurate, up–to–the–minute information that he gives you. Bennett literally lifts any audience he comes in contact with.
As editor of The Platform World some of his editorials have attracted wide
attention.
By Strickland Gillilan, Noted Humorist
This is one of those millions of To whom it may concern documents, but, oh, how sincere it is! You see I had been thinking my good friend, Bill Rainey Bennett, was just One of those inspirational lecturers. He's not. I've heard him. He's not one of any group. He's a whole group to himself, that man is. He has more common sense and usuable advice in his speeches than has anybody else I have ever heard. He incites youth to aspirations and gives the courage to strive. He gives a full set of tools with his blue print of life; the means to construct the thing he recommends. His lectures take hold of the people, and the people listen gladly.
