CORNELIUS VANDERBILT, JR.
speaking on
EUROPE TODAY
AN ENTIRELY NEW LECTURE
And
ESPECIALLY AS 1950 WILL BE A HOLY YEAR AND THOUSANDS OF AMERICANS WILL MAKE A PILGRIMAGE TO ROME
ALL ROADS LEAD TO ROME
Read What Committees Everywhere Are Saying
Mr. Vanderbilt, out of his vast amount of film made this summer, has prepared one lecture solely about lovely Italy. It shows Historic Places, Shrines, Old Cities, Modern People, Statesmen and Bootblacks, and the Beauty Spots of this Supremely Picturesque Country.

This noted journalist, lecturer, soldier of fortune and author has seen six years service in two wars, has been in radio, written numerous books, magazine serials, motion picture scenarios, and has appeared in most U. S. newspapers. On this most recent trip to Europe he was correspondent for The North American Newspaper Alliance. He has visited nearly every city and even many hamlets in the United States and Europe. He has crossed the Atlantic 125 times, the Pacific 44. During World War II, he went many places for Military Intelligence. In 1942 he received the Distinguished Service Cross of the FBI, at that time the fourth person so decorated since 1932. The Novelist Upton Sinclair wrote a book called Presidential Agent, which some people think was written about Vanderbilt.

Excellent presentation … Recommend that every thinking American see and hear this lecture.
MRS. CARL M. SAWYER, Woman's Club, Marion, Ohio
Vanderbilt kept the largest audience our Woman's Club has ever had completely spellbound.
GEORGE PIERROT, World Adventure Series, Detroit, Mich.
Thanks for the Cornelius Vanderbilt appearance yesterday. We had a fine time. We sold out everything, including orchestra pit and standing room and turned away 400 people.
The show itself was very good. His pictures were up to standard and would be accepted as such. A half dozen times or more our audience, which contains many amateur color photographers, applauded shots which were especially fine. All in all, the 'Europe Today' travelogue show which Vanderbilt presented is one that I shall recommend widely. It seems to me that so large a turnaway warrants a return appearance this year as well as our using Vanderbilt's new show next year.
PAUL H. DURRIE, Director, Adult Education, Des Moines Public Schools.
It was a good film lecture and the audience was one of our largest. You are blessed with a platform personality that wins audiences and makes them your friends.
DR. DAVID M. WHITE, Dept., of Journalism, Bradley University, Peoria, III.
Your lecture stirred up no little comment and controversy among various students. You may consider you have done a yeoman service in helping educate these young people of ours.
THIS LECTURE CAN BE GIVEN AS A TRAVELOGUE, with NATURAL COLOR MOTION PICTURES; as a SEMI-POLITICAL TALK, with the Motion Pictures being shown, or as STRAIGHT TALK, NO MOVIES.
