SAMUEL D. ROSEN
Knows the REAL RUSSIA!
Just Read What His Audiences Say—
Not only the fairest … but the best talk I have heard on Russia.—ALFRED P. SLOAN, President, General Motors Corp., following appearance before Pontiac (Mich.) Forum.
The only Americans fully equipped to penetrate behind the scenes and below the surface of the Russia of today are well-educated Russians who have become thoroughly assimilated American citizens. Samuel D. Rosen is such a combination.—FRED ATKINS MOORE, Director for China Relief, New York City.
We enjoyed your very interesting and enlightening talk on Russia. You are a very fine speaker, and you organized your lecture well. We want you back again!—H. A. SCHOFIELD, President, State Teachers College, Eau Claire, Wis.
Speaker Rosen's lecture was so intensely interesting that his audience kept him there for an extra hour … continuously plying him with questions.—
DAILY, University of Minnesota, Minneapolis, Minn.
Samuel D. Rosen is good. He knew what he was talking about … and was able to tell it!—MARIE NEAL MARTIN, Program Chairman, Warren (Ohio) Forum.
An intensely interesting lecture.—WILLIAM J. GUTKNECHT, President, Rotary Club, Youngstown, Ohio.
You captivated our teachers and directors at each one of your lectures. Sorry the auditorium was too small to accommodate the large number who wanted to hear you.—F. D. FREAR, Superintendent, Susquehanna County Schools, Montrose, Pa.
You not only know Russia and conditions there, but you know how to present your facts and opinions entertainingly, fairly, and effectively—without prejudices and with courage.—C. J. OGILVIE, Director, Goodwyn Institute, Memphis, Tenn.
Your talk gave us an entirely new slant, and I am sure that it impressed upon us more than anything we have heard before …—R. E. MITCHELL, Program Chairman, Kiwanis Club, Eau Claire, Wis.
We are anxious to have you appear again on our program.—EARLE B. HOLMAN, Commissioner of Schools, Houghton, Mich.
Gigantic … powerful … unpredictable … Russia fights today as our mighty ally on the United Nations' front.
What do YOU know about Russia? Here is your opportunity to get the facts. We present Samuel D. Rosen, today an American … and proud of it!
Samuel D. Rosen was born in a peasant village on the banks of the Dnieper river in southeast Russia … but that did not prevent him from acquiring an education. Upon graduation from high school in a neighboring town, he attended the New Russian University at Odessa, where he received his Master's degree. Then came service in the Russo-Japanese war 1904–05 and escape to the United States a year later.
His early struggles to establish himself in the New World … and eventual business success did not diminish Mr. Rosen's desire for further education, or his intense interest in the development of his native country during its revolutionary changes. All the years he studied, first at Chicago's YMCA, and then postgraduate work at the University of Chicago and Northwestern University.
Returning to Russia in 1930, Mr. Rosen travelled thousands of miles to observe and judge the steps of its development since the Revolution, aided by his ability to speak the Russian language with perfect fluency. Since that time, he has made three additional study tours of Russia, including the ism countries and the democracies as well.
To say that Mr. Rosen is a gifted speaker is putting it mildly. He has much to say … and he says it clearly, interestingly, effectively … and fairly.
Mr. Rosen's lectures are far more than talks on Russia. They are factual discussions … so timely … so important, that every alert American within range of his voice should listen … and remember his words.
Bookings for the forthcoming season are now being arranged. Write, wire, or phone at once for information.
