RUSSELL WRIGHT
COMMENTATOR ON WORLD EVENTS AND NEWS PHOTOGRAPHER
THE REDPATH BUREAU
1316 Kimball Bldg., Chicago
A DOCUMENTARY MOTION PICTURE LECTURE OF SPECIAL SIGNIFICANCE
IT'S TOTAL WAR
• America's and Europe's fight against the Axis Powers.
• See the Atlantic convoys, the air force, the army, civilian life in England, Churchill, Canada's great war effort, bomber and gun factories, and the invasion and defense on Russian soil. Also, the last decade of Europe's history—how Hitler prepared for World War II, the Austrian Revolution, the Spanish War, Polish Blitzkrieg and Fall of France.
• The comprehensive and complete picture of the war you have been awaiting. Daring photography vivid with action and drama, the sacrifices, the bravery and courage of those who treasure liberty—and the determination of the Democracies to win!
For twelve years Russell Wright has made regular journeys abroad, serving Universal Newsreel, Associated Press, London Daily Telegraph, Look, European Picture Service and many others while producing documentary motion pictures for his lectures. His ability to diagnose European affairs has brought him to many places in advance of crises and wars.
Mr. Wright was in Russia observing and writing about the Soviets and their First Five Year Plan. He spent a year in Germany studying the Nazi growth and the totalitarian techniques employed in regimenting a nation to build a gigantic war machine. He was present during the Saar Plebiscite which ceded the Saar Basin to Nazi Germany, in Austria during the February Revolution and the Dollfuss Putsch, in Spain in the midst of her Civil War.
In Czechoslovakia he made a survey of conditions prior to the crisis and anticipating a still greater upheaval in central Europe, he went to Poland and Danzig several months prior to the Nazi Blitzkrieg and remained there throughout the war. In his most recent film-news venture he covered Canada and England as late as this year.
NOTE: Committees desiring to raise funds can make special arrangements to sponsor, on a percentage basis, the unparalleled It's Total War.
