Alberta Lauer, pianist; Frau von Goeben, soprano (formerly of Vienna), and Miss Bendecke (formerly of Prague, Brussels and Paris) gave an afternoon musicale in Tarrytown recently which was very successful.  Miss Lauer has been successful as accompanist as well as solo and ensemble pianist, and is now definitely settled in the metropolis, having many engagements.

Miss Lauer assisted in a brilliant and musicianly reading of the Grieg sonata.  The Schumann quintet was the crowning feature of the evening; Miss Lauer's playing, technically, was finished and tonally beautiful.  With her, virtuosity and musicianship go hand in hand—The Rutherford Republican.

Alberta Lauer, the pianist (formerly of the Royal Conservatory of Music in Leipsic), assisted one of the singers at the recent concerts in the Madison Square Garden.  Miss Lauer was complimented and she deserved all that was said of her artistic playing.  The concert was one in the series by the Russian Symphony Orchestra.  Miss Lauer resides at 78 West Ninety-fourth street, and it is from there that she may be engaged for concerts and other affairs where the skill of a finished pianist and accompanist is in demand.

Alberta Lauer played piano solos at the New York Athletic Club Ladies Day, making a real success.  Attractive appearance and masterful technic mark her, the combination winning success.
