DR. TEHYI HSIEH
Roosevelt of China
Tehyi Hsieh, the Chinese patriot and orator, has been hailed by press and public of the United States as
the Teddy Roosevelt of China.
It has beeen said of him that he is the
national interpreter of Chinese aspirations, philosophy and hopes.
Dr. Tehyi Hsieh is a brilliant orator, a master of the English language, and a student of world affairs. In the hour and a quarter of his lecture on
Awakened China
he will tell his listeners more about the present-day Orient than they could have gleaned from months of reading and study.
Wu Ting Fang has said of the brilliant young Chinese,
If he continues his good work, he will some day be numbered among the immortal workers for the rejuvenation of China.
Any man with a calling of this high order would respond with everything he had of intellect, force, money and will. Tehyi Hsieh responded to the call of his country with all these and more — with a fiery eloquence which will not be refused. He has been a real sensation in the scores of cities in which he has appeared and over other Redpath Chautauqua circuits.—

Not only are his impressions and his opinions firm and sound but he has mastered the English language to the point where he can express himself with a facility and clarity that is surprising. His oratorical methods may seem a trifle theatrical, but he drives his points home and makes them stick, an art lacking to many public speakers.—
