Léon Rennay
London New York
LÉON RENNAY has made for himself a unique position in the field of Song Recital, Chamber-Concerts and private musicales in England, France, Italy and America.
His voice is baritone, of wide range, rich in color, and resonant.
Critics have described his diction as the most perfect of any singer now before the public,—a fact which has drawn to him, as students, many of the well known artists of England and America.
Mr. Rennay's spécialité is the interpretation of the songs of the French School which he sings with character, poetic charm and a perfect style. His singing, also, of the German, Italian and English lyrics is equally finished and interesting.
Mr. Rennay has been heard in concert with Dr. Saint-Saëns, and in recital with Chaminade, Reynaldo Hahn, Ferrari and some of the English songwriters, interpreting their compositions while accompanied by the composers themselves.
During recent seasons in Europe Mr. Rennay has had the privilege of appearing before Queen Helena of Italy, T. R. H. The Duke and Duchess of Connaught, H. R. H. Princess Louise, Duchess of Argyll, and H. R. H. The Princess Christian, who accorded to him her especial patronage.
