LESTER A. BROWN

Mr. Brown has been pastor of Baptist churches as follows: Bangor, Wis., Village, Va., Chattanooga, Tenn., Winder, Ga., and Atlanta, Ga.
Lester A. Brown was born in Culpeper County, Virginia. He is a Baptist, Mason and a member of several other orders. He belongs to one of the oldest families in Virginia.
Training
He holds displomas from Shenandoah Institute, Virginia, Gale College, Wisconsin, Colgate University, N. Y., and the Illinois College of Law.
In addition to the Bachelor and Master degrees he has received the degrees of Doctor of Divinity, Doctor of Laws, and Doctor of Civil Law.
Singer As Well As Preacher
He has written and published several song books, taught music in Shenandoah College, Va., Crozer Theological Seminary, Pa., and Colgate University, N. Y.
Educator
For several years he was head of Cox College, Atlanta, Ga.
Evangelist and Lecturer
He has lectured and preached in many states of the union, from ocean to ocean and from the Gulf to the Great Lakes, and is said to be one of the most convincing speakers on the American platform.
The following are a few of the towns and cities in which he has addressed great crowds, namely: Chicago, Milwaukee, Grand Rapids, Detroit, Indianapolis, St. Louis, Atlanta, Denver, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Albequerque, N. M., Phoenix, Arizona, Culpeper, Va., Camden, N. J., Paris, Ky., Cheyenne, Wyo., Butte, Montana, Portland, Oregon, Jacksonville, Florida, Tampa, Florida, Wilmington, Del., Jonesboro, Ark., Parsons, Kans., Columbia,
S. C., Columbus, Miss., Charleston, W. Va., Rochester, N. Y., Reading, Pa., Chattanooga, Tenn., Winston-Salem, N. C., Houston, Texas, Sheridan, Wyo., Seattle, Salt Lake City, Reno, Nevada, Bridgeport, Conn., Burlington, Vt., Dallas, Tex., Shreveport, La., New York City.
Dr. Lester A. Brown left yesterday for a tour of down state towns after a very successful season in Chicago. He lectured to more than 100,000 during his stay of five weeks and brought hundreds to the cross. He demonstrated the fact that he is master of the platform as well as pulpit. We heartily thank the National Bureau of Lectureship for his services.—

The Hammond, Ind., Times said: Some estimated the crowd at 15,000, others ventured a figure as high as 25,000. It was agreed that the turnout was the largest ever drawn to a gathering in Hammond.
Many time during his lecture the crowd cheered as he drove home his points.
As Dr. Brown took his seat he was applauded roundly.

Over a thousand people were addressed in San Francisco last week
by Dr. L. A. Brown, Atlanta, Ga., one of the best lecturers on the platform today. His address was roundly applauded by the audience.—
