American Ladies Grand Concert Band
Organization
This splended organization is composed of 40 young ladies, augmented for special occasions to a membership of 60. Each and every member has been selected and choosen from the most competent Musicians with the result that the present instrumentation is far superior to that of any ladies band heretofore assembled. Their musicial interpretations are made vital, first of all by that indefinable force called Temperment or Magnitism, whatever the name, it is certain that the American Ladies Grand Concert Band with their dash and swing, at once catch and hold the attention of their audiences and carry them along with unlimited enthusiasm. Last season thay proved to be one of the most successful Bands in the country, playing the principal Parks, Fairs and Expositions in the Middle West.
Uniforms
Those who have seen the American Ladies Band in their natty uniforms a la Militaire, pronounce them to be the most picturesque assembly of ladies now before the public. The dresses are rich, dignified and classy and in the ensemble make a charming stage picture, perhaps no similar organization touring the country was ever so well equipped both on and off the stage.

Press Notices
Popularity of the American Ladies Grand Concert Band at Riverview Park is growing daily as the lady musicians have proven themselves to be artists, entertaining two of the largest audiences ever assembled in front of the great band shell at this popular resort. The great and crowning feature of the programs were solos given by Miss Lora Antoniette Reiter, America's premier lady cornetist.—
Chicago Record Herald.
American Ladies Grand Concert Band is a fine organization. The lady musicians made a big hit with Leaven-worth people. Those who saw the girls coming up from their special car were ready to swear they were the real thing. All were in uniform and they looked very pretty as they scattered through the crowds, seeming to be more numerous than they really were.
The girls are all very good looking and best of all they are artists, as proven last night when they gave their first concert, everyone being loud in their praise. One old gentleman who fell in love with the whole band declared they were really a bunch of American Beauties. They came here direct from Riverview Park, Chicago. The Band is one of the best musical organizations that ever appeared in this city.—
Leavenworth Post.
American Ladies Concert Band, which is playing a week's engagement at Schuetzen's Park, continues to make a distinct hit, and its popularity is growing as the week goes on. The soloists are receiving ovations at each concert. There are continued calls from the audience for Miss Lora Antoniette Reiter, cornet soloist.—
Davenport Daily Times.
The American Ladies Grand Concert Band, heard by a large throng at The Alamo last night. The managers of The Alamo certainly made a great hit with the public when they secured the American Ladies Grand Concert Band for its opening. Without a doubt it is one of the finest musical organizations ever heard in Cedar Rapids. There was a large attendance at The Alamo and the magnificent concerts given by the band were heard with much pleasure. Miss Lora Antoniette Reiter, the cornet soloist, is a real artist and her fine playing, together with a pleasing personality, won her a host of friends who will be eager for her appearance in succeeding concerts.—
Cedar Rapids Daily Republican.
The American Ladies Grand Concert Band gave a truly great concert. This famous ladies' band entertained Clintonites Wednesday at the Ringwood Grounds, where thousands were rewarded with the most delightful band concert ever presented to the people of Clinton. The band plays superbly and the program last night selected with a view to please all hearers was of a most satisfactory character. The beautiful uniforms of the musicians were much commented upon. Those who missed attending the opening concert last night should not lose another opportunity to enjoy their music.—
Clinton Advertiser.
The American Ladies Grand Concert Band, which plays afternoon and evening at Harlem Park, is becoming more popular every day with the large audience. The programs offered are of a variety well adapted to please the masses. The quality of tone is exceptionally good and the numbers are played with dash and spirit which holds the interest of the audience throughout the entire program.
The cornet soloist, Lora Antoniette Reiter, is an exceptional artiste and her numbers are received with well deserved enthusiasm.—
Rockford Register-Gazette.
Saturday evening will be the last occasion for the appearance of the American Ladies Grand Concert Band at Riverview Park. This will close their two weeks' engagement at this famous resort, where they have played before the largest audiences ever assembled in front of the band shell. Each and every one of their excellent programs were well rendered and each and every one of the ladies have proven beyond all doubt that the great compositions, as well as the more popular, are readily within their scope and several special members of the band have also proven that even the larger musical instruments emploved in band work are not for men alone. The concerts rendered by this excellent organization are most charming in every way.—
