Homer A. Mendenhall Concert Whistler
Engagements for Clubs, Banquets Churches, Theatres, etc.
Mr. Homer A. Mendenhall
Mr. Homer Mendenhall, one of the foremost concert whistlers in America, a native Californian, and the possessor of a rare whistle of crystal quality, is an artist of exceptional ability. His range, exceeding three octaves, is phenomenal, and his interpretation of operatic and classical selections is given with keen discrimination and artistic finish. His trills and many bird notes rival the songsters themselves.
Mr. Mendenhall's recitals are always a triumph, and he is the recipient of unbounded praise on every occasion. He has become a great favorite both by reason of his excellent work and his interesting personality.
Mr. Mendenhall is one of the most brilliant and artistic whistlers before the American public today.
(Signed) AGNES WOODWARD, Director California School of Artistic Whistling Los Angeles, California.
Comments of the Press
Mr. Mendenhall has developed artistic whistling to a high degree. His notes being wonderfully controlled, clearly presented, and unlike most whistlers, he seems to have a reserve supply from which to build volume when he desires.—
LOS ANGELES TIMES.
Mr. Mendenhall, who possesses an unusual range of four octaves, is a product of the California School of Artistic Whistling, and is much in demand in Los Angeles and Monrovia, his home town.—
LOS ANGELES EXPRESS.
Mr. Homer Mendenhall is a very inspiring and thrilling whistler. He greatly pleased the three thousand people in the Temple Baptist Church last Sunday evening.—J. WHITCOMB BROUGHER, Pastor Temple Baptist Church, Los Angeles, Cal.
A whistler of great promise. Mr. Homer Mendenhall of Monrovia, has been creating quite a furore in his home town, his artistic whistling on the night of October 27 for the Chamber of Commerce, bringing enthusiastic applause.—
