On Enening with
EARL WRIGHTSON and LOIS HUNT
There could be no more natural a combination than the voices of Earl Wrightson and Lois Hunt and the music of Broadway. The Wrightson-Hunt duo has become one of the recording world's foremost delineators of show music. Then, too, each has made an impressive mark on Broadway as a performer of stellar magnitude—Miss Hunt most recently in the Rodgers and Hammerstein smash, The Sound of Music, and Mr. Wrightson in the revival of New Moon and Kurt Weill's Firebrand of Florence.
Both have scored resounding successes in stock and on tour in a long list of musical theatre fare. However, it is perhaps in the realm of records that they have gained the widest popular following.
Their Columbia LP albums have sold in the hundreds of thousands, including A Night with Jerome Kern,A Night with Sigmund Romberg,A Night with Rudolf Friml and the first stereo version of Kiss Me Kate. Individually, their discography is equally impressive, as witness Mr. Wrightson's An Enchanted Evening on Broadway and Anywhere I Wander. Miss Hunt starred in the Epic recordings of Carousel and Columbia's King and I and Oklahoma!
In this, their first joint tour of the United States, they will bring to the concert stage their outstanding interpretations of America's bountiful heritage of music from the enchanted world of the theatre.
One of the best in our experience.—
