So this, then, is a foreword of a Party of Artists presenting the best in music in a most charming and delightful manner
Figure
Ernest Gamble Concert Party
Belief that there are always sufficient discriminating people, who care for quality rather than quantity, for real artistic excellence rather than mediocrity, led to the formation of The Ernest Gamble Concert and Recital Party four seasons ago.
Every member of this party of artists is chosen for his individual merit and for his value to the program as a whole. There is no star and there are no supporting members.
The universal verdict of the best critics in over five hundred appearances, in twenty-two states and Canada, has been that The Ernest Gamble Company is the most evenly balanced concert party extant.
The Gamble Concert Company presents a series of four-page, de luxe programs with libretto and analytical notes, making them interesting to both the ultra musical and laymen; not so popular as to be musically cheap and not so severely classical as not to be popular.
Those interested in press notices will write the management the particular section from which they desire comments, and clippings will be sent from our library of scrap-books.
Music is evidently a necessity of our existence, and the more the taste for it is developed in the highest form the greater will be our appreciation of the good and beautiful.

Figure
Mr. Ernest Gamble is a most polished artist. His voice is of beautiful quality, good volume, is perfectly placed, and has that fine breadth and reserve, all of which enter so largely into the making of a great artist. With these excellent qualities for a foundation, Mr. Gamble has added a splendid style, a true polish which gives him musically and intellectually a masterful command, and enables him to give free and unhampered interpretations.
By a Musical Critic.
A pupil of Darette Stepanoff, the celebrated exponent of Leschetizky, in Berlin, Mr. Sam Lamberson is one of the most brilliant exponents of that great teacher. Combining the most exquisite delicacy and masterful strength in his playing, he also adds a personality, individuality and intelligence to his work that is most satisfying. Mr. Lamberson has had great success with Mme. Charlotte Maconda and Flavia Dan den Hende. This fine young piano virtuoso is a truly great artist.
Mr. Lamberson has marked ability. His work is crisp and virile, admirable as regards technique and treatment.
Toledo (O.) Times-Bee.
He has appeared in Europe and in America, occupying a high place in the world of music. His technique is admirable and is rapid finger work surprisingly.
Wilkesbarre (Pa.) Record
Mr. Lamberson is an artistic pianist and aroused great enthusiasm by his scholarly playing
Brockton (Mass.) Times.
Mr. Lamberson's touch is sure and light, and his jubilant rendition of the Schubert-Taussig
Military March,
with its suggestion or waving banners, was his best.

Miss Verna Leone Page Concert Violiniste
Achieved a veritable triumph on her recent tour of twenty states, reaching to the Pacific Coast, and her artistic, musicianly and legitimate playing on her rare old Gagliano violin won her the complete approval of the critics.
To a charming and modest personality, Miss Page adds a brilliant technique and a warmth of temperament that make her playing a delight to lovers of violin music.
Miss Page is equipped with the best schooling, under the greatest masters, having studied with Jacobsohn, Michael Banner, of New York, and the great maestro, Karl Halir, in Berlin.
Wilson G. Smith, the noted composer and critic, says in the Cleveland (O.) Press of March 10, 1905—
Miss Page, a petite creature, has the temperament of an artist and much facility of technique. She has a remarkably full and vibrant tone. She played, among other things, a Romance and Rondo of Wieniawski in excellent style, with a virtuoso finish.
Joseph Macqueen, the canny Scotchman on
The Oregonian,
Portland, said on January 25, 1905,
Miss Page is a finished soloist, and showed broad technique and exquisite tone in her work. She has a fine stage presence.
Prof. Smith, the learned writer on the Columbus (O.) Dispatch, was pleased to say on March 12, 1905,
Miss Page has a pure, liquid tone and much facility of arm and wrist. Her playing is marked by warmth and insight and in many respects she shows herself a true artist.
Although very young she possesses a talent that is remarkable. Her bowing is good and her touch firm, yet sympathetic. The most pleasing number was the Largo, from Handel's Xerxes, which she played with a breadth of tone and feeling that was inspiring.
