Williamson Sisters Quartette
ARLIN RUTH WILLIAMSON Soprano
Members of Williamson Quartette:
Ladies—I suppose you have many deservedly nice things said to you about your singing. So that beyond saying how much your work has been appreciated, I will make no attempt to compliment you.
Permit me to say, however, that neither you, nor I can measure the amount of good that you have done for my Children in this Home, and the good things they have heard in your voices.
Tomorrow you will pass out of their lives, but the inspiration and the uplift will remain, and I should like to have you remember, that you have awakened chords in my children's souls during the past week, that will enable them to interpret the harmony of a larger and better life, and your work is the more beautiful in that it has been done, unconsciously.
Very truly,
C. H. KERNAN, Supt. National Orphans' Home, Tiffin, Ohio
De Funiak Springs Breeze, Florida:
It is one thing to be able to sing and sing well, it is another to have the happy faculty of singing such selections as are appropriate to the time and place, and a combination of these is sure to make any musical attraction a favorite with Chautauqua goers. Add to these a pleasing personalty that makes friends everywhere and you have the secret of success of the Williamson Sisters Quartette, which has been one of the strong attractions of the past week and one of the most excellent musical combinations of the season. They were greeted at their concert Monday night by one of the largest Monday night crowds of the session.
CORAL DALE WILLIAMSON Soprano
Covington (Va.) Dispatch.
The Williamson Sisters Quartette was the chief attraction at the Alleghany Chautauqua which closed in Covington last Sunday night after a week's session. The delightful program of vocal music rendered by the four Williamson Sisters, at each entertainment of the Chautauqua, was alone well worth the price of admission. The Covington audiences were enthusiastic in their praise of the Williamson Sisters Quartette.
Newark (O.) Press:—
The return engagement of the Williamson Sisters Quartette, who appeared last night at Taylor Hall, was an event greatly appreciated by music-loving people. Their repertoire included a number of classical selections which were well handled.
ANNE STEWART Reader
GRACE GERTRUDE WILLIAMSON Contralto
At Lexington, Xy.:—
The Williamson Sisters were the first on the program and sang several times during the evening, always receiving encores. This is one of the best musical organizations heard here in years and these delightful artists became exceedingly popular during their stay in Lexington, Ky.
I have known The Williamson Sisters' Quartette for several years and have used them often at my own Chautauquas.
They cannot be recommended too highly, for they are true artists. No manager need hesitate to place them in his programme, for they please everywhere and can satisfy anywhere.
W. T. S. CULP, Supt. Lakeside Chautauqua Assembly, N. Y.
Marietta (O.) Times:—
—Miss Stewart gave a delightful program at the Masonic Temple, Saturday evening. She is a reader and singer of much ability and the committee is to be congratulated upon being able to secure so charming an entertainer.
Carey (O.) Times:—
Miss Stewart, with her reading, charmed her audience. She proved herself especially proficient in imitations and gave the various bugle calls of the army in a very realistic manner. In the story of a Kentucky horse race, she lost herself in her impersonations and held her audience from start to finish. In her vocal numbers she likewise met with the approval of her hearers. The program was certainly delightful throughout, and those who heard it may well feel glad of their opportunity.

The Williamson Sisters Quartette
Can always be heard to advantage. Their voices are big enough to carry well under canvas and to fill an auditorium completely. Best of all they have that delightful blending of rich, mellow tones which renders their ensemble work altogether satisfying. The organization contains three vocal soloists, two accompanists and a reader—and all of this variety from four people. Their repertoire will last for days without a sign of trashiness. Careful training and platform experience have contributed alike to their ability and high position.
