A RARE HUMORIST ARTHUR F. BRIESE
Figure
A New Discovery in the Field of Entertainment
REDPATH
ARTHUR F. BRIESE
ARTHUR F. BRIESE is a new star among humorists. Good humorists are so few and so exceedingly rare. Give us something new and different in humorists is a constant cry. Arthur F. Briese is startlingly different. The thing he does is so amazing and audacious it fairly takes your breath away.
What a clever genius this man Briese is. He proved that at the I. L. C. A. convention at Winona Lake; at the Chicago Executives Club; the Chicago Rotary Club; the Chicago Collegiate Club; University of Michigan Club; Ohio State Medical Association; at many great national trade conventions.
A men's group, a woman's group, a mixed group, a convention, a college or culture group — each one he treats differently, preparing humorous witticisms pertinent to each audience, moving each audience from happiness to anger and resentment and then back to laughter.
The more sophisticated the group, the better they will like Briese. As a doctor uses different medicines for various ailments, so he diagnoses and uses specific material for each individual audience. Weeks after he has gone his hearers still burst out in enthusiastic laughter at expressions of his wit. What finer tribute to an entertainer?
Arthur F. Briese is the cleverest find in humorists the Redpath Bureau has made in a decade. Laughter truly follows in his wake.
What They Say About Briese
Toledo Times.
He touched upon the Naval parley, and a dozen other things. This speaker was none other than Arthur F. Briese, who has gained fame for his after-dinner entertaining.
Rotary Club of Chicago.
All comments regarding the meeting have been highly complimentary. I want to compliment you on the extremely clever way in which you handled your assignment as speaker.—Charles S. Schmitt, Assistant Secretary.
The Executives' Club, Chicago.
As a member of the Speakers Committee I have naturally made inquiries as to the general reactions to your address, and, without exception, the comments were most favorable and otherwise indicated how completely you gained your objective in presenting a most difficult subject with a most unusual and definite climax.—Arthur Perrow, Former President of Executives' Club.
The Platform World.
One of the most interesting and unusual entertainers to appear on the platform horizon in many seasons is Arthur F. Briese. Platformists who attended the I. L. C. A. Convention at Winona Lake will remember Mr. Briese as the individual who created such a furore at a Twilight Hour program.
Commercial Reference Company, Chicago
During all the years that I was a member of the Rotary Club of Chicago and the ten years I have been a member of the Executives' Club of Chicago I can safely say that I have never heard anything that I have enjoyed more than the entertainment which you gave at the Executives' Club.—George Batton.
Grand Rapids Exchange Club.
Arthur F. Briese was, I believe, the greatest hit we have ever had at our club. Arthur F. Briese is sure fire humorous entertainment.—N. R. Thurston, Past President.
