THE EYES, EARS, VOICE OF AUSTRALIA

Magnificent Travelogues
Miss Graccio Houlder, Australian, (whose ancestors were among the '49-ers in California) and who was educated in England, is truly a
World Traveler.
She has crossed and recrossed the Australian continent, and seems to know every foot of that most interesting country; has covered 6,000 miles of Australia's coastline. Travelled extensively throughout England; has visited New Zealand five times.
Miss Houlder has crossed the Pacific four times; three times across the Atlantic Ocean; and on one trip from London to Australia, via South Africa, she was at sea for six weeks. She has crossed the English Channel twice, crossed the Mediterranean, the Indian Ocean, and the
Seven Seas
, visiting Ceylon, Aden, the Suez, Egypt, Malta, and Gibraltar, besides extensive tours of Canada. She has lectured in 44 of the 48 states of the United States and has made four lecture tours throughout America.
On account of the growing interest and co-operation of our people with the progressive citizens of the continent
down-under
there is universal demand for her gorgeous travelogues—presented (where desired) with both colored motion pictures and stills. Many of Miss Houlder's moving pictures are government-sponsored, and she comes with credentials signed by the Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of Australia. She strives for the stimulus of co-operative effort in all that is lovely and beautiful.

BELLEVILLE (Ill.) DAILY ADVOCATE
January 26, 1943
An amazing first-hand story of Australia was presented yesterday afternoon at the Belleville Woman's Club, with Miss Graccio Houlder of Perth, Australia, as the lecturer.
The Flora of Australia
was illustrated with moving pictures of that vast land of the Southern Pacific—colorful, romantic, and fascinating. In her unique and pleasing travelogue, Miss Houlder took her listeners on a visual journey south of the Equator. Her dynamic personality held her audience spellbound as she presented in word and picture the beauty of her native Australia. She expressed a feeling of hope that soon there would be no shadows of war and the time was not far away when that friendship for which we are praying, sacrificing, suffering and fighting would bind Australia and the United States closer together.
THE CONGRESSIONAL CLUB OF WASHINGTON, D. C.
On behalf of the members of the Congressional Club I wish to extend to you our most hearty thanks for the very splendid talk you gave us. Everybody enjoyed both the talk and the pictures, more than I can say. Again,
Thank you so much,
for coming to the Club and giving us such a treat.

Our charming guest speaker, Miss Graccio Houlder, Australian Lecturer and Educator, stirred our souls with the
Marching Song of the Anzacs.
She said: Dominating her home-land was the streamlined sentiment of the great Golden Bridge of the Pacific extending from these United States to Australia, uniting us as one great democratic nation and forming an everlasting
Bridge of Friendship.
