INTRODUCTION
T
HE New Dixie Lyceum Bureau takes pleasure in presenting for the favor and consideration of lyceum courses and Chautauquas, Mr. Frank Allen Peake, the noted lecturer and entertainer.
Mr. Peake is a man of splendid natural ability coupled with years of close study and large experience, and we believe that he is now in a position to make the best efforts of his life.
His work in the past has been of the very highest order, and he takes rank with the foremost platform people of this country. Along Chautauqua lines he has been eminently successful, having been the platform manager for the past four years of the Vincennes, Indiana, Chautauqua, also acting in a similar capacity at a number of other assemblies.
His lectures are not dry, but intensely humorous; while his
entertainment
evening is irresistibly funny. To all who desire a clean, wholesome attraction, we would recommend Mr. Frank Allen Peake.
LECTURE SUBJECTS
THE HUMANITY OF MAN
An intensely humorous lecture, constructed upon the thread of common sense and dignity. It presents man in his relations to man from his highest human standpoint—and his relations to woman. Though humorous throughout, it appeals to the audience with an upward impulse.
ALTRUISM—THE TRUE ISM
A popular lecture founded upon that great Biblical teaching—Universal and Unselfish Love. It has enough humor in it to make it carry with a miscellaneous audience. It advocates true Christian Socialism, incidentally showing how the various churches may effect a union.
THE SATANITY OF MAN
A pungent lecture, replete with wit, humor and straight talk. This lecture is very popular with Y. M. C. A's. Its purpose is to picture man as he appears in the various avocations of life, under the leadership and control of that ubiquitous spirit, Satan. It shows you how bad your neighbor is.
THE DIVINITY OF MAN
A discourse suitable for Sunday services, for Y. M. C. A's, or for school and college commencement exercises. Its mission is to inspire young people to a greater respect for themselves and for all.
ENTERTAINMENTS
Popular Entertainments consisting of Impersonations, Songs, Cornet Solos, Ventriloquism and other specialties original with himself Monologue Readings of
Damon and Pythias
A Singular Life
Etc.

Frank Allen Peake gave us a superb lecture, in which he combined the strong characteristics of the humorist, the orator, and the profound thinker. We at once engaged him for a second lecture.

Peake's lecture,
The Humanity of Man,
was a brilliant success. I have been conducting lecture courses for a number of years, but never had a man who so completely captured the entire audience as Prof. Peake did.
D. E. Luther, Sec. of Y. M. C. A., Atlanta, Ga.
The South may well be proud of Frank Allen Peake. He excels in both speech and song impersonations. He came to our audience a stranger and at once captured every heart. No fewer than one hundred stood around the packed audience during the entire program.
Rev. C. W. Blodgett, Pastor St. Paul M. E. Church
CINCINNATI, OHIO
Frank Allen Peake, on our lecture course, filled his place, and more than filled it. There are many impersonators, but he stands alone in the place he occupies. He is a strong and brilliant lecturer, a tragedian, and a natural born humorist. The large audience was delighted, and asked for his return. I know him also to be a gentleman and a scholar.
Father Nugent, the Well-Known Lecturer
I heard Frank Allen Peake at Lincoln Park (Kans.) Chautauqua, and I was very favorably impressed, indeed. His full, musical voice at once attracts and holds attention.
Chautauqua News, Lakeside, Ohio
F. A. Peake added very much pleasure to our program as cornetist.

H. M. Taylor, Supt. of Chautauqua, Parks Hill, Ky.
We were all very much delighted with Frank Allen Peake as a lecturer and as a man. He completely captured our people with his Shakesperian work, especially his natural and dramatic rendition of
The Merchant of Venice.
Wirt Lowther, Lecturer and Pastor First M. E. Church
DWIGHT, ILL
.
I have heard Frank Allen Peake at several Chautauquas and think him one of the best all-round Chautauqua men upon the platform. As a lecturer, he has a message—scholarly, witty and eloquent. As an entertainer, he has few equals, and no superiors. As a preacher, he is inspiring, eloquent and spiritual. His sermons are an uplift. To Chautauqua promoters, I would say, get him for your manager. I know of no one who can do it so well. With his energy and remarkable versatility there remains no possibility of a
break.

CHAUTAUQUA NOTES
C. M. Low, Sec. of Chautauqua, Genoa, Neb.
We consider Peake unrivaled in humor, song and fine dramatic art. His lecture,
Altruism—the True Ism,
drew our largest crowd and held it and greatly pleased it.
Lexington, Ky., Herald
Frank Allen Peake was one of the greatest attractions at the Chautauqua. In some respects he was marvelous and unique. As a song impersonator he has no rival.
Aurora (Ill.) Beacon
Frank Allen Peake delighted the immense Chautatauqua audience with his dramatic reading of
Damon and Pythias.
Hearty applause and congratulations were extended him at the conclusion.
Vincennes (Ind.) Capital
The principal event on the Chautauqua program this morning was a lecture by Frank Allen Peake, manager of the Chautauqua, and this lecture proved to be of more merit than any previous one this Chautauqua season. Mr. Peake lectured on
Altruism,
and greatly exceeded expectations. He has a splendid delivery and his lecture was not only one of oratory but one that demonstrated that it has been given much study. The speaker at times became humorous and had the audience roaring with laughter, and at other times it was in deep study. His anecdotes and illustrating stories were of much merit.
Rev. C. S. Nusebaum, Sec. of Chautauqua, Ottawa, Kans.
I heartily commend Frank Allen Peake to all Chautauquas as a first-class, all-round entertainer. He gave us complete satisfaction.
Seven Hills Chautauqua, Owensboro (Ky.) Inquirer
Frank Allen Peake's impersonations were extremely amusing. His attractiveness was evidenced by his enthusiastic recalls.
Wm. T. Wells, President Chautauqua of the Tropics
MELBOURNE, FLA
.
Frank Allen Peake gave us two strong lectures,
Altruism—the True Ism,
and
The Humanity of Man,
which placed him at the head of the list in the estimation of our people. He also gave some variety work, which thoroughly captivated the crowds. On his last appearance he was repeatedly called back until it seemed as though they would not give him up.
Vincennes (Ind.) Capital
Frank Allen Peake, Manager of the Vincennes Chautauqua, is little less than a rare genius when it comes to entertaining and to managing a Chautauqua. As a lecturer and as an entertainer he is second to no man who has ever appeared here. His lectures so far have been rare treats, and stamp him as one of the best on the Chautauqua program. As a singer he is also a success. He plays several musical instruments with great skill and if necessary can give a first-class clog dance. In every movement he displays traces of the finished actor, and as Wirt Lowther says,
He can successfully fill the place of any person on the Chautauqua program.
C. H. Hawkins, Sec. of Chautauqua, Lincoln Park, Kans.
For eleven days Frank Allen Peake entertained our immense audiences. He was at home as Shakespearian reader, impersonator, singer, cornetist and ventriloquist. We have never had his equal.
