LEONID SAMOLOFF, the noted Russian tenor, is one of the finest vocal artists ever offered to lyceum committees. During his extended musical career he has appeared as a co-star with many of the leading singers of America, including Caruso, Schumann-Heink, Alda, and others. He is a tenor of marvelous power and commanding personality.
Samoloff's voice is more nearly like Caruso's than any heretofore heard in this city, said the New York World.
A brilliant and beautiful voice of splendid range and volume, reports the Chicago Inter-Ocean.
A tenor voice of unusual richness and color, with great range and power, testifies the Kansas City Times.
Formerly a member of the Philadelphia-Chicago Grand Opera Company, under Andreas Dippel.

SAMOLOF has increased his popularity with every appearance on the Princess stage. He has a voice that is faultlessly musical in every register, and even his highest notes are easy and spontaneous and sure. It is a sweet and sympathetic voice, yet powerful and ringing When he had concluded the 'Celeste Aida' there was an almost riotous demonstration because Conductor Merola would not permit an encore.—
San Francisco Examiner.
LAST night's story of the grand opera at the New National Theater had for its feature an ovation seldom accorded a player by a Washington audience, and because of that ovation, well deserved, Leonid Samoloff is easily entitled to the honors of the evening for his rendition of the role of Canio in 'I Pagliacci.' This is considered the greatest role sung by the famous Caruso and Samoloff's success in it is ample praise.—
Washington Post.
VIVIAN HOLT is a coloratura soprano with a voice of fine lyric character and of much flexibility. Her musical and dramatic experience has been varied and extensive. In the drama she was for a time under the management of Harrison Grey Fiske, and her noteworthy musical engagements include an appearance as Susette, in Arthur Hochmann's opera, Fiammetta, with Anna Case in the title role, and Pasquale Amato as Guiseppe.
Miss Holt combines with musical and histrionic ability of high character, a most winsome and attractive personality, making her an ideal concert singer.
LILLIAN SCHEINKMAN, violoncellist, won scholarships in Baltimore and New York. She studied at the Institute of Musical Art under the great 'cellist, Willem Willeke, of the famous Kneisel Quartette. She has appeared in concert work several seasons.
LILLIAN ROSEDALE, composer, pianist, accompanist, is well known in musical circles. Many of her compositions are being used by concert artists. She is a finished pianist and accompanist.
Figure
VIVIAN HOLT possesses a lyric coloratura voice of exceptional beauty. She combines with artistic phrasing and interpretation, remarkable agility and a rare mezzo-voce. Edwin Markham, the famous American poet, described her singing when he is said to have exclaimed: She sings with the lark's tongue. Miss Holt made her debut in dramatic work at the age of three and a half years. Her last New York appearance as a dramatic actress was under the management of Harrison Grey Fiske. Her broad experience, gracious and winsome personality, combined with her beautiful voice, assures her a future in opera and concert—
Musical Courier.
CONCERNING a comparatively recent western operatic tour, during which Miss Holt appeared in a number of leading cities, the Portland Oregonian said: Vivian Holt possesses a remarkably fine voice which carried well above the others in the sextet. Her acting was also excellent, and into the brief scene was packed much of the dramatic emphasis that has made the well-known opera so famous. During this same tour, the San Francisco Examiner said. The sweet richness and range of Vivian Holt's voice, together with her attractive personality, promise for her a great future in American opera.
