Appreciations
THE MUSICAL LEADER, CHICAGO
Valborg Sinkler, dramatic reader and lyric soprano, is charming audiences everywhere. Last Thursday she presented an effective program before the members of the Musicians Club of Women, and early in the week she appeared before the Medinah Athletic Club. She has a most attractive voice and is gifted as a singer and as a reader.
THE WILMETTE LIFE
Valborg Sinkler completely captivated her audience with her charming personality and stunning appearance in her seventeenth and eighteenth century costumes. She makes a picture never to be forgotten and she speaks with a vivaciousness and with a twinkle of mischief in her eyes. She presented an episode from the life of Nell Gwynne, recreating the Irish lady's fiery spirit to the delight of everyone. Then she gave a dramatic interpretation of Amy Lowell's Patterns to the soft musical background of Beethoven's Moonlight Sonata. She gave several short sketches as encores, proving herself a unique and expert dramatic artist.
BEULAH BUCK FOGLEMAN, Noted Entertainer, and Program Chairman, Illinois Woman's Athletic Club
Miss Sinkler has succeeded in her chosen field of entertainment. Her presentations are a unique form of beauty and artistry and have brought her recognition as an outstanding artist. Poise, personality and individuality go to make her an actress of much charm and ability.
LOUISE F. WILCOX, Beverly Hills Woman's Club
I cannot say enough in praise of Valborg Sinkler. Her magnetic personality, coupled with exceptional dramatic and musical ability, places her among the most desirable for club programs.
