Different Because
—Bill Baar gives a one-man show of Original Character Sketches written by himself and for himself—taken from life just as we find it. His characters are real people and the incidents he deals with are those that happen everyday around us. He has perspicacity to catch the humorous or pathetic note that enters into the regular job of living. He not only gives the idea by words and actions, but he costumes the character to the minutest detail and using grease paints—wigs, his make-up leaves absolutely nothing to the imagination. It is not mimicry—it is a reality—his characters are not fictitious—they breathe, move, talk and act in actuality.
Stepping behind a screen as one person, he gives the setting, time, and locale of another character and having created his atmosphere by speaking as several characters—all unseen—he appears in an entirely different impersonation from the one preceding.
Mr. Baar is a radio artist, formerly of WCFL, Chicago; WGHP, Detroit, and W9XAO (WIBO) television. He has had experience on both the legitimate and vaudeville stage as well as on the chautauqua platform. He is a popular entertainer for clubs, schools, churches, lodges, etc.
ALWAYS using costumes, grease paints, wigs with each character—each a complete drama—a character sketch, true-to-life.

Here is something new and different, especially suitable for churches. It is the first time that this has ever been attempted, and great care has been taken to have the sketches Biblically correct. Each sketch contains the educational as well as spiritual value of a sermon.
It is telling and convincing. You held your audience throughout the entire portrayal and you made the character of Jesus live in their imagination.
