The Yellowstone National Park,
THE WONDERLAND OF THE WORLD.
THIS LECTURE is illustrated by the famous John L. Stoddard series of colored slides. A region so wonderful that nature's tricks outrival witchcraft.
Here may be found a mountain of glass, geysers which play by timetable, trees that have turned to stone, pools that are tossed at regular intervals in the air, a lake where trout may be caught and the fisherman may, without changing his position, cast the fish on the line into the hot spring and cook it, lakes of hot water, pools of the most beautiful colorings that the imagination can conceive, the remains of twelve forests, which in the ages of the distant past have grown up one above the other, separated by layers of volcanic ashes and lava, trees in each forest marketd with the circles of five centuries of time. Lastly, one may behold a grand canyon of enchanting beauty, exquisite coloring, and unrivalled grandeur.

The Heart of the Rockies and the Yosemite.
Arizona. Descent into the Canyon.
Interesting and exciting experiences while journeying through the far West, as special correspondent of the BOSTON HERALD.
The magnificence of our Western scenery, with the grandeur of Colorado's Canyons and Gorges, is widely portrayed by description and stereopticon.
It is a personally conducted tour into the Yosemite Valley, the mountain home of the waterfall and cascade, a stage trip through forests thousands of years old, and through the big trees themselves, a horse-back trip up Pike's Peak at night, a bicycle trip over a desert, a visit to the great farms, a walk through a region of palms and orange blossoms, a trip which is a succession of delightful surprises from beginning to end.

The Grand Canyon of Arizona and Moki Land.
Off the Beaten Trail.
The Grand Canyon of the Colorado River in Arizona is pre-eminently a scenic wonder — matchless throughout all Europe. A vast chaotic underworld 217 miles long, 14 miles wide and 6,600 feet deep. The lecturer presents a thrilling record of personal experiences in exploring this mighty canyon. He describes the Pueblo Indians, their homes, manners and customs, and their weird, pagan ceremony of the Snake Dance.
The Peck Travel Talks have been delivered in Harvard and Yale Universities and the foremost lecture courses in America.
Custer's Land
and Indian Country.
THIS LECTURE is replete with adventures away from the beaten path of travel in Indian country. A visit to Custer's battlefield, the Sioux and Crow Indian Reservations, horse back trips with the cow boys, explorations in the Bad Lands, digging fossil remains of prehistoric monsters. A journey into the wilderness with the discoverer of the Cliff Dwellings. An exploring trip for miles under ground in a newly discovered cave in the Black Hills.
Our New England Alps.
The White Mountains of New Hampshire.
The beautiful scenery of our own New England. 100 illustrations. A superb scene from a collection of one thousand negatives taken by the leading scenic photographer of this country. The original negatives were taken at an expense of several thousand dollars.

Illustrated Talk
By Hon. Arthur K. Peck, Boston, Mass.
LECTURER IN STORM SUIT OF A LIFE SAVER.
Ninth Season on the Lecture Platform.
The Peck Lectures have been delivered over 600 times in Boston and vicinity.
Commenting on lecture in Yale University Course, the New Haven PALLADIUM makes announcement as follows: Mr. Peck has no superior on this subject in the country. The views the finest ever seen in this city. The coloring is as near perfect as can be made.
THE STORM HEROES OF OUR COAST, THE U. S. LIFE SAVING SERVICE.
The subject, the treatment of the same and the illustrations are in a class outside the ordinary stereopticon lecture as attested by words of commendation from competent authorities, viz.—Mr. Frederick O. North, who managed Mr. John L. Stoddard during his lecture career, Major Horace L. Piper of the Treasury Department, Washington; Assistant General Superintendent of the U. S. Life Saving Service, and others.
The particular merits claimed for this lecture are that it is upon a timely topic of intense interest; that it is instructive for the heroic work of rescue by the surfmen is little understood; that the whole story is a fascinating, thrilling narrative; and that the illustrations both from a photographic and artistic standpoint are really wonderful. The collection is one which has no duplicate, and the difficulties of illustrating a subject dealing with scenes of action in storms, have been met only by years of patient search for the real photographs.
The collection offered comprises the finest surf and wave pictures procurable, breakers dashing against sea-walls hurled in broken columns of spray to a height of 40 feet, wave-washed vessels with crew in the rigging, actual rescues by means of the breeches buoy, ship-wrecked sailors being dragged through the surf nearly drowned, scenes of destruction along the beaches, houses overturned, sand dunes, reefs, wrecks, drills of the Life Savers, upsetting of the life boat, etc.
In all 175 views photographically perfect, and colored by the leading colorists of this country. These supplement the lecture, conveying a comprehensive knowledge of the valiant work of the brave men of the Life Saving Service.
The Peck Travel Talks delivered in leading lecture courses in the East, including The Brooklyn Institute of Arts and Sciences, Harvard, Yale and Vassar Universities.

I feel that I must fall short in expressing in this letter my admiration for your lecture. I do not recollect when I have spent an evening so delightfully. The story of the Life Saving Service as told by you is a splendid one and set forth with pictures of the highest order.
HORACE L. PIPER, Asst. Gen. Supt. U. S. L. S. S.
THE BROOKLYN INSTITUTE OF ARTS AND SCIENCES.
(THE LARGEST LECTURE COURSE IN THE UNITED STATES.)
One of the most instructive and enjoyable evenings of the entire season.
Your lecture is a lesson in heroism and patriotism. It should be heard by every man, woman and child from the Atlantic to the Pacific.
FRANKLIN W. HOOPER.
Lecture delivered before the students of Harvard College.
A larger and more enthusiastic audience than I have seen this year at any similar entertainment in the Harvard Union. A lecture decidedly worth hearing.
HENRY S. THOMPSON, Treasurer Harvard Union.
From Mr. Frederic O. North. (Mr. North managed the Stoddard Lectures during Mr. John L. Stoddard's lecture career.)
Your lecture on The Life Saving Service gave great satisfaction. The subject matter was particularly well treated and the views were really wonderful. In my long experience in the lecture field I have never met anyone better equipped than you to instruct and interest the public. I heartily congratulate you on your good work.
FREDERIC O. NORTH.
