Chicago Ladies Orchestra — Horn Quartet
WE consider it a privilege to present to the Lyceum Public the original Chicago Ladies Orchestra for the ninth successful season. We believe it a duty to ask you to distinguish this company of artists, a proved success, from the many amateur orchestras striving for publicity, some of which have even attempted to assume the name of the Chicago Ladies Orchestra. This Company, which ranks foremost among lyceum attractions, is composed of members who have added to a life study of their instruments, years of actual lyceum experience under the direction of those who are giving their best efforts to the Lyceum. The entire personnel is made up of members of standing and marked ability, professional musicians, capable of playing with the best musical organizations in America. Their programs are satisfactory from whatever point of view they are considered. While the selections by the full orchestra are in themselves of sufficient variety and novelty to make up an entire evening of unusual interest, the programs are further enhanced by violin, flute and vocal solos, string ensembles and readings, and the horn quartet — a distinct success of the past season. Hear them, resting assured that you will enjoy the work of a company in a class by itself, the Lyceum's premier orchestral organization — the Chicago Ladies Orchestra.
Holton's — the only American made instruments used by principal Symphony Orchestras in this country — played by the Chicago Ladies Orchestra
They play to 'beat the band'
The Chicago Ladies Orchestra, under direction of Louis O. Runner, represents the highest standard of concert orchestras. The following tribute comes from Rev. J. T. Bacon, Chairman of the Springfield, Mo., Entertainment Course. Our people were unanimous in pronouncing the concert by the Chicago Ladies Orchestra as ranking above the recent performance of Sousa and his famous band, both in respect to entertaining quality and musical excellence.

ELIAS DAY writes: I want to congratulate you on the splendid work of the Chicago Ladies Orchestra. I know of no organization of the kind in the Lyceum that can quite equal it for vim, precision of attack and good musical qualities. The keen appreciation of the audience as evidenced by the numerous encores demanded, voiced my sentiments exactly. I hope to have the great pleasure of hearing them again.
Eagle Grove (Ia.) Record
—This one number by the Chicago Ladies Orchestra was well worth the price of admission for the entire course.
A. and M. College (Texas)—The prettiest and most talented company of ladies ever on our course.
Watertown (S. D.) Opinion
—The entertainment was one of the finest ever in the city.
Calumet (Mich.) Gazette
—The entertainment was the finest enjoyed here in a number of years. The audience was captivated.
