QUINTANO SYMPHONY BAND
JOSEPH QUINTANO
JOSEPH QUINTANO
Received his musical education at St. Peters Conservatory in Naples. He studied there frequently directing under famous masters. His musical culture has the stamp of approval of old world thoroughness and breadth.
Quintano has been and is a hard student and possesses all the fire and enthusiasm of his race.
He is the owner of a magnificent library of standard classics and the latest hit of the season, which explains his frequent long engagements. He has played ten, twelve and sixteen consecutive weeks in the same place.

The principal feature of the evening, the music by Quintano's Band was par excellent and received most liberal applause.—
New York Telegram.
Quintano has proved himself more than competent in matters of detail. This band is beyond dispute one of the best ever heard in this city. The program was one of the best ever given.—
Niagara Falls News.
The training that Joseph Quintano received has been very apparent to the many that have listened to his band this season. The control that he exercises over those under his direction is particularly remarkable. The eyes of the player are oftener on his baton than on the music before them, and this is the very perfection of conducting. This it is that has enabled him to secure results that would seem almost impossible, considering the number of musicians in the band.—
Jamestown Post.
For many years we had Chautauqua in Webster City, and heard some of the best bands, but Quintano's band surpassed every other organization we ever heard.—
Webster City News.
We heard many bands such as the United States Marine Band, Sousa and Creatore, and last night we heard Quintano's Band at the Chautauqua in our city, and we were more than pleased with this great superb organization. In fact it was beyond our expectations. The graceful work of Sig. Quintano in conducting his band was splendid, and we sincerely trust to have the pleasure of hearing this organization often in our city.—
Sioux Falls News.

MISS NELLIE TURNWALL SOPRANO
BAND
The large audience at the opera house last evening evinced in a substantial manner the popularity of Miss Turnwall. There was naturally much curiosity as to the results of her sojourn in London and Stockholm and certainly no one had reason to be disappointed. There was added ease and sweetness in her voice and a newly-discovered high register of the same general timbre which was under perfect control, the style was original and of artistic fineness. It was a pleasure to hear the Swedish songs and an English speaking singer could appreciate the liquid softness of the language in the four songs she sang.—
Jamestown Journal.
QUINTANO AND HIS BAND—THIRTY ARTISTS AND A MASTERFUL LEADER.
The Chautauqua crowds on the Redpath-Peffer Chautauqua Circuit were given a big musical treat by this fine organization, season 1915.
Quintano shows great ability as an organizer as well as a leader. His thirty men are superior in every way. They enter into the spirit of the Chautauqua work and he does wonders with them. Quintano has studied the Chautauqua audiences and has built his programs to meet their taste. He likes Chautauquas and is each year making a bigger success of the Band Day.
An organization of musicians and gentlemen. Recognized as the premier Italian Band of America. Well uniformed, good appearance and habits, each member a Chautauqua booster; programs consist of the highest classics, interspersed with music of the day, many solos, specialties and spectacular numbers.
