The Story of Bartalini
BARTALINI, born in Italy and educated in America, brings to the stage his own unique musical-dramatic entertainment combining the fruits of his artistic heritage and wide experience as singer, actor, painter, dancer, carcicaturist, linguist and mime.
After serving an apprenticeship in all the arts, Bartalini combined their essences into one many-faceted form of artistic expression—one which has been acclaimed as enthusiastically for its entertainment value as for its artistic merit.
JUST WHAT IS BARTALINI?
As the critics tell us:
The versatility of his art challenges ordinary cataloguing. He is at once the actor, singer, dancer, designer, painter, sculptor and quick-change artist. He depicts characters as well as their moods and music, and his characterizations ranged from king to fisherman, from tragedy to comedy.—
Montgomery Advertiser
He makes songs far more enjoyable than most concert singers can.—
San Diego Journal
Each song becomes an opera in miniature.—
Monterey Herald
He has attained a fine fulfillment of a really remarkable conception, each of his characterizations is a cameo-like gem and he attains effects of spellbinding artistry.—
Daily Oklahoman
Bartalini offers a unique program of music, dance, song and drama magnificently costumed and finely presented.—
Pacific Coast Musician
An interesting and distinctive array of character portraits.—
Philadelphia Enquirer
He has a good voice, his characterizations showed extraordinary ability and his costumes were magnificently beautiful.—
Augusta Chronicle
He appealed not only to music lovers but to Home Economics and Art majors because of his costumes and to Foreign Language majors because of his use of several languages. Our student body gave him an ovation.
