RELIGION
Is not a dream of the weak. It is the best possession of the strongest, the most useful men and women in any and every community. Men and women of character are needed today more than ever before. The Church helps to make such character. More than all others it is the institution that develops in man wholeness and richness of life.
A MOST CORDIAL
Invitation is extended to you and your friends to enjoy Two Weeks of Special Meetings to be held September 18 to October 2, 1932. M., September 18 to October 2.

Loyalty Tests for Church Workers
SPECIAL MEETINGS—SEPTEMBER 18 TO OCTOBER 2, 1932.
Get ready for a great Meeting—an old fashioned Gospel Meeting of earnest religion. The Officers and Members of the First Baptist Church believe that God will send a Revival whenever His People are ready. We invite your cooperation in this series of
SPECIAL MEETINGS.
Let us humble ourselves before God, repent of our sins, and then pray for a
REVIVAL.
There never was a greater need for consecrated Christians than today. Church members must get right with God.
ENLIST FOR LOYALTY IN THESE SPECIAL MEETINGS.
I will be a booster for these Great Meetings.
I will be present the first meeting—Sunday, September 18.
I will give these Special Meetings the right of way in my plans.
I will pray daily for the success of the meetings.
I will strive to win others for Christ.
I will invite and bring others to the meetings.
ONE HUNDRED PERCENT ATTENDANCE.
Every loyal member of the First Baptist Church will strive for one hundred per cent attendance. Every member needs the blessings of a revived Christian Experience. It is impossible to visualize the blessings that will come to our Church when a united membership earnestly seeks a
REVIVAL.
Occasional attendance is not enough if you really want to get the largest blessings out of this opportunity. Surely—Church Members will be loyal to this program.
NO OTHER ENGAGEMENTS
No organization of the Church and no individual can fully cooperate with our Special Meetings if any kind of engagements are planned for this brief period—September 18 to October 2. If the Spirit of God is to have right of way, you will have to turn a deaf ear to many worthy calls for your time and attention during the two weeks. You have a

YOUR CHURCH
—let all your outside obligations wait during these important days. Let us give ourselves wholly to prayer, reconsecration and soul winning.
THE EVANGELISTIC PARTY.
Our Pastor, Dr. Wm. G. Everson will be assisted by our Church Music Organizations—The Quartett, Our Men's Chorus, The Big Chorus, The Junior Choir. All join in requesting your prayerful support.
ATTEND! WORK! PRAY!
Food for Thought for Non-Church Members
GET ACQUAINTED WITH THE CHURCH—
Today, as ever, the Christian Church is the central institution of every community. The Church is at the foundation of our civilization. It stands for all that is best in life. Take away the Church and civilization itself would collapse. You believe in the value of the Church as an organization—admire and approve its work. Have you forgotten your personal responsibility? This series of Special Meetings has been arranged so you can better get acquainted with our Church. We most cordially invite you and your friends to join with us in this series of Gospel Services—September 18 to October 2, 1932.
HAVE YOU A CHURCH HOME?
We members of the old First Baptist Church are rededicating ourselves to a larger service for the Master—more consecration, greater determination to support our Church, increasing anxiousness that others know Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord. God has given this Church some tremendous opportunities. We most sincerely invite you to make this
YOUR CHURCH HOME.
Send for that Church Letter and make your life potent in a Church of progress and activity. If you are not a Christian, we want to help you understand the Bible, appreciate Jesus Christ as Friend and Saviour. You will surely be happy in Christian service and as a member of this united Church—
YOUR CHURCH HOME.
THE SWEETEST RELIGION IN THE WORLD.
If a soul lacks sincerity, nothing can be done, for sincerity is the anchor to which other valuable qualities are to be secured. But the sincere soul animated by the religion of the Lord Jesus Christ will make home, work, friendships, everything, the fortress of a life of power. It will sweeten the grind of life into a communion heavenly and eternal.
When all the hypocrites have been named and labeled this statement still is true—The sweetest Religion in the World has always been found in the Church. Let Christ and His Church be the center of your plans.
PRINCIPLES FOR WHICH BAPTISTS STAND.
1.
Baptists stand for the Bible. It is their law, their creed, and authority in all matters relating to faith and practice.
2.
Baptists stand for regeneration or
the birth from above
as a basis of church membership.
3.
Baptists stand for believer's baptism, the immersion of the believer in obedience to Christ's command, as a symbol of death to the old life and resurrection to the new.
4.
Baptists stand for separation of Church and State and for the largest measure of civil and religious liberty.
5.
Baptists stand for education, evangelism and world-wide missionary endeavor.

SEVEN REASONS WHY WE SUPPORT OUR CHURCH
THE CHURCH—
Provides the place, leadership and fellowship for worship of God, the creator of heaven and earth.
THE CHURCH—
Is the protector of our communities, property being more valuable, human life safer and virtue less in danger where Christian institutions exist. Her house of worship and work is a witness to God every day in the year, a symbol of all that is good, a call to all that is holy.
THE CHURCH—
Is the conserver of the values of the past, the creator of ideals in the present, and the torchbearer of tomorrow's progress.
THE CHURCH—
Is the great mother of children, consecrating them by baptism, educating them in her homes and schools, training them for service, preparing them to meet temptation; and, should they wander or fall by the way, the church is ever receiving them in forgiving and restoring grace.
THE CHURCH—
Sends a steady stream of consecrated men and women into every avenue of life, making our schools religious, promoting civic reforms, carrying Christian ethics into economics, thus helping on the answer to her prayer,
Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done, as in heaven, so on earth.
THE CHURCH—
Through its ministers and members is continually carrying on a ministry of consolation to the aged, the sick, the sorrowful, the tempted, the lonely, and the troubled—a service that never can be tabulated in reports nor paid for in gold—without which life for multitudes would be empty of meaning and hopelessly forlorn.
THE CHURCH—
Proclaims the everlasting gospel of Christ's redeeming love and ever seeks to evangelize the neighborhood and the world.
