ORA SAMUEL GRAY
BUREAU ANNOUNCEMENT
Canton,, O., Feb. 2, '04.
I had the pleasure of hearing Ora Samuel Gray deliver his lecture "Three P's in a Pod" the other evening. It is replete with wit, dramatic feeling, eloquence and forceful connections for right things. In my opinion Mr. Gray is among the best of the younger men on the platform today.—M. C. Williams, Assistant State Sec’y, Ohio V.M.C.A.s.
There were no "dry spots" in the lecture "Three P's in a Pod" by Ora Samuel Gray at the Christian Church last Friday evening. He has a charming personality, a force of expression and a power of word-painting that at once captivates his audience and sways them at his will from tears to laughter. No one could hear this lecture without being benefitted and going home with a firmer resolve to get more out of life than a mere existence. Many have expressed the wish to hear him again. —Remington (Ind.) Press
Ora Samuel Gray
A self-made man; from the old farm in Vermont till the present, he has risen step by step by the sheer effort of his own indomitable will. His lectures are bright and spicy, but clean and pure, and are often compared with those of Conwell and DeMotte. They appeal to all classes of people, and make life richer and hope brighter for all who hear them.
We unhesitatingly commend Mr. Gray as a brilliant illustration of the possibilities before the young men of America, and as a lecturer on popular subjects second to no one of the present time.—THE MANAGEMENT.

Gardner Journal. The closing lecture of the course came on Tuesday evening, and was given, as before announced, by Ora Samuel Gray. Many were the words of commendation to be heard on all sides, and all join in hoping that we may again have the privilege of listen¬ing to Mr. Gray.
DeRuyter (N. Y.) Entertainment Course. Everyone in the hall last Monday evening agreed that the lecture given by Ora Samuel Gray was one of the finest to which they had ever listened. His audience was in sympathy with him from the beginning and he moved them from laughter to tears with the power of a true orator.
Roane (Ind.) Clarion. Those who missed hearing Mr. Ora Samuel Gray on Saturday night on the unique subject of " Three P's in a Pod," indeed missed a treat. Those who heard Mr. Gray will bear me out in saying the lecture was the finest attraction of the season thus far. Mr. Gray is a fascinating talker, and held his audience spell-bound from first to last.
Canonsburg (Pa.) Notes. There was a large audience in the opera house on Thursday evening to hear the Rev. Ora Samuel Gray de¬liver his popular lecture, "Three P's in a Pod." Mr. Gray lectured under the auspices of the Canonsburg Lecture Association, and the ver¬dict of the people is that he is all right. Mr. Gray is a clear, distinct speaker. He has good matter. He is instructive, entertaining, amus¬ing ; there is a moral tone to his lecture which cannot fail to elevate; may he come again.
The Mount Pleasant (Pa.) Journal. Rare¬ly have Mount Pleasant people had such a feast as was spread for their delectation on last Thursday evening by Ora Samuel Gray.
Possessing keen discernment, being not without scholarship and philosophy, having led a pure, blameless and honorable life and sur¬mounted great obstacles, having faith in God and man, and being intensely eager to promote the reign of righteousness, his lecture appealed to the good in his hearers, and for them, surely, because of his coming, life will be richer and hope brighter. Because he overcame and is enthusiastic in his triumph, they will go on con¬quering and to conquer.
St. Joseph (Mo.) Gazette. Mr. Ora Samuel Gray is easily the strongest lecturer who has re¬cently come into the middle west. His lecture in Tootle Theater is in the opinion of the enter¬tainment committee the strongest attraction yet given the local public.
Fitchburg (Mass.) Daily Sentinel. The lecture by Ora Samuel Gray on " Three P's in a Pod, " at the First Methodist church, Monday evening, was a rare treat to those who attended, and proved that the lecturer is in the front rank of lyceum speakers. At least three times dur¬ing the lecture the speaker rose to a height of eloquence that stamped him as the peer of any of the platform kings, and reminded one forci¬bly of the way in which Wendell Phillips would sometimes thrill his audience as he reached the climax.
Westfield Times. A fair sized audience with almost breathless interest, listened to the lecture "Three P's in a Pod," delivered by Ora Samuel Gray. Good inspiring suggestions were happily mingled with amusing anecdotes, wrell told and to the point. It is expected that Mr. Gray will be here again this winter. If he is, all who heard him will certainly hear him again and the house will surely be crowded.
Leominster (Mass. ) Daily Enterprise. Last season Ora Samuel Gray lectured here on "Three P's in a Pod" and created such a favor¬able impression that the committee secured him for the first number of this season's course, which came last night. Mr. Gray spoke upon " The Third Strike" and the verdict of the great crowd who listened attentively for an hour and a half was that " it was all right, " and many pronounced it the strongest lecture ever given in the city. Mr. Gray has gotten a great reputation all over the country for his "Three P's" lecture, but we feel sure "The Third Strike " will soon be his favorite topic.
Niagara Falls Gazette. There was a good attendance at the lecture given last night in the auditorium, it being the special number of the series given under the auspices of the Charity Organization Society during the present season. The speaker was Ora Samuel Gray. He took for his subject, " Three P's in a Pod." Though young in years he is a brilliant speaker. From the beginning to the end of his talk there was not a dull moment. His remarks were in¬terspersed with stories which illustrated the point in view and altogether the lecture was one of the most successful of the season.

Ten Reasons Why Ora Samuel Gray is a Popular Lecturer.
Letter of Colonel Homer B. Sprague to the American Lyceum Union. You ask why Gray is destined to shine on the lecture platform. I answer as follows: i. He has a handsome face, on which every eye loves to look. 2. His voice is agreeable and sympathetic, and its ca¬dences fall pleasantly upon the ear. 3. He has a good deal of genuine humor, which enables him, even when greatly aroused, to see the comic as well as the serious side of things, and so to take a common-sense view, and avoid ex¬travagance and fanaticism. 4. He is a capital story-teller, and is fruitful in splendidly illustra¬tive anecdotes. 5. He possesses keen discern¬ment, and is not lacking either in scholarship or philosophy. 6. He has led a pure, blame¬less, and most honorable though strenuous life, victorious over great obstacles. 7. He has faith in God and man, looks on the sunny side, and is eager to promote the reign of righteous¬ness, in whose coming he firmly believes. 8. He has a fine command of language, and never resorts to coarseness or vulgarity. 9. He has the gift of natural eloquence, rendered more effective by careful training, as I happen to know very well. 10. He has a great, warm, sympathetic heart, which loves all that are good, and makes all the good love him.
