The Boston Lyrics
THE BOSTON LYRICS
The proven ability of the individuals composing the BOSTON LYRICS is sufficient guarantee of their success in concert and entertainment, with a program that will be delightfully varied without resorting to an unwieldy number of performers, with consequent heavy expense to com¬mittees. Versatility, uniform excellence and artistic finish characterize their programs throughout. The entertainments consist of songs, readings, cartoons, pastel readings and songs, monologues, humorous skits, selectionsjand accompaniments on the marimbaphone, the cornet and trombone.

An excellent entertainment was given by the "Boston Lyrics," by the men of the Round Table. The pro-gram was much more varied than might be expected, the versatility and cleverness of the trio more than aton¬ing for lack of numbers. Mr. Jor¬dan's solos were applauded with en¬thusiasm, and Miss Wells pleased immensely in her monologs, musical readings and pastel readings. The last was a decided novelty, the read¬ings being cleverly illustrated by pastel drawings done by Mr. Jordan, both artist and reader reaching the climax simultaneously. The musical readings, accompanied by the piano, were very pleasing. Another pleas¬ing novelty was a bell-toned musical instrument called the marimbaphone played by Mr. Jordan and Miss Wells, in duets.

Fall River (Mass.) Daily Globe.
An interesting and novel number was a pastel reading by Miss Wells, illustrated by Mr. Jordan with a charming bit of pastel showing the Mississippi River in the moon¬light. Another unique feature was the use of the "Marimbaphone" in duets and obligatoes, one of the selections giving a perfect imita¬tion of chimes. A duet by Mr. Jordan and Miss Wells brought to a close two hours of genuine enjoyment.

MADE GOOD.
The Boston Lyrics, who appeared here on Tuesday evening, made good all that was said of them in their advertising matter. The com¬pany is composed of Mr. and Mrs. F. R. Jor¬dan and Miss Bertha Wells, and together they make a splendid combination of talents and skill. Mr. Jordan is a soloist of fine voice, while his cartoons and pastel work show the real artist. Miss Wells is one of the best readers we have ever heard, and her numbers were liberally applauded. Her readings, illus¬trated by Mr. Jordan's fine pastel work, were especially notable. .Mrs. Jordan as accom¬panist, performed her part with the same tal¬ent and skill as characterized the other fea¬tures of the program. So as we said in the beginning the "Boston Lyrics made good."
