The Commonwealth Male Quartette
The Commonwealth Male Quartette Concert Company
Words of Commendation
The following genuine letters and newspaper clippings give an added emphasis to the worth of the Quartette as a Concert attraction.
MAINE. The Program presented by the Commonwealth Quartette was much appreciated. The entertainment was novel and varied and evidently found much favor here as every number was doubly encored.
NEW HAMPSHIRE. A large audience greeted the Commonwealth Quartette of Boston at the Opera House on Friday evening. They are first class entertainers.
VERMONT To select year after year a production that will satisfy an audience is no small proposition, but the excellence of the programme presented by the Com¬monwealth Male Quartette is evidenced by the words of appreciation and satisfaction heard]on all sides.
MASSACHUSETTS. The audience showed its appreciation by insistent and repeated recalls, the singers being equally as gen¬erous in its responses. The concerted numbers were very pleasing and from first to last the audience was enthusiastic in its applause. Encores and double, even triple recalls were frequent, and were kindly responded to by the Quartette.
MISSOURI. The Commonwealth Quartette gave one of the finest entertainments ever given in this city. The many novelties introduced in this program were a revelation to the amusement loving audience.
IOWA. Their selections were very pleasing. Each mem¬ber is a soloist of high rank. The Qyartette work was splendid, rendered with delicate sentiment and versatality of expression.

This organization was selected last yeai for an extended tour of the West and South and again this year, will be able to meet th< demands of committees desiring a Company which is living up to its justly earned title o "The Quartette That Entertains."
Departing, early in its history, from the olc time methods of Quartette singing, it is to-da) furnishing an entire evenings program replet< with more novelties and original ideas thar any other Quartette on the Lyceum Stage.
Their more serious numbers are character¬ized by that perfedl harmony which makes the music of four male voices so delightful, while the humorous selections are ably inter¬preted by bits of life and a&ion.
PENNSYLVANIA.
The Qyartette came very highly recommended and lived up to its reputation in every particular. Tho the hall was literally packed they could return in a week and draw an audience twice as large.

Presenting an Entertaining Monologue from "The Depot Master"
IPSWICH, MASS.
Mr. Carpenter, reader and a fine soloist was heard in several readings which were thoroughly enjoyed. * * *Perhaps his best were "Uncle Billy's Story" and "Riley's Old Sweetheart" the rendering being exquisitively tender and the effort hightenhd by the singing of "Sweetheart Days" by the Quartette-
OTTUMWA, IOWA. Mr. Carpenter, a reader of ability gave several good readimgs.
MOBERLEY, MO. Mr. Carpenter's "No Sir," was delightfully funny, and the audience was quick to show its appreciation.
CANTON, MINN. They gave us a clean high grade entertainment. Mr. Carpenter's readings were much enjoyed and in his more serious numbers he deeply touched the hearts of our people.
DENMARK, PENN. The Quartette was ably assisted by Mr. Carpen¬ter, a reader whose selections, together with a plea-sing personality added much to the musical part of the program. In his opening selection "Hello" he voiced the sentiment of the committee which has striven so hard to make the Lyceum a success in our town.
