Chas. K. Fitzwilliam
Traveler, Orator, Lecturer and Optimist
MR. FITZWILLIAM'S LIFE reads like a romance. His mother died when he was nine years old. His father (whom he assisted) was a professional trapeze performer, and the boy was destined to fol¬low the life of the canvas and the sawdust ring had not death in¬tervened. His father was killed before his eyes, leaving him, at the age of twelve years, without a friend or protector.
His Early Career One of Hardship
His career for the next twelve years was one of hardship and privation. He succeeded, however, in securing work with a sufficient remuneration to allow of his obtaining a common school and, later, a college education. For thirty years he has occupied a prominent place on the platform and in the pulpit, and enjoys an international reputation as an orator.
Has Also Lectured Extensively in England
Mr. FitzWilliam's extensive travels (having crossed the ocean on sixteen dif¬ferent occasions) have given him a store of practical information which, coup¬led with a fund of native wit and humor, has won for him the endorsement of press and public wherever he has appeared.
Speaks at 19 Teachers' Institutes in One State
Mr. Fitzwilliam is also a successful lecturer for teachers'institutes and chau-tauquas. One season he lectured, under the auspices of the Redpath Bureau, before nineteen of the county institutes in Pennsylvania alone. For twenty years, Mr. Fitzwilliam has been a member of the Patriotic Sons of America, for twenty-four years a prominent Odd Fellow, and is Chaplain of the Utica Lodge No. 47, F. & A. Masons.
Thirteen Hundred Press Notices
Speaking of press notices, Mr. Fitzwilliam has over 1300 from both sides of the Atlantic. A few typical ones are printed on the next page.

HE IS AN ORATOR—In the strongest series of men's meetings ever held in Utica, no speaker was more forceful, logical and convincing than Charles H. Fitzwilliam. His splendid idealism and his striking style proved most effective. The men frequently applauded and, again, in almost awed silence, listened as he forced home the truth, He is an orator. He has a message and always strikes twelve. We must have him again.
